Quality ingredients, well-prepared food, and well-presented, with generally spot-on pairings. In my opinion, the only dish that fails is the gluttonous dessert, which I found unbalanced.
The place is very beautiful and charming, right next to the Gastronomic University.
What I really didn't like was the waiters' attitude, which in my opinion was truly unfair. Let me explain: the menu lists two types of water: microfiltered water for €2.50, or Acqua Panna or San Pellegrino (75 ml) for €4.50 (!!!). The price of water is already exorbitant, but the worst thing is that as soon as you sit at the table, you're asked if you want water without being shown the menu first, so you don't know what to choose. Of course, you're always served the €4.50 one, as was the case at every table.
We ordered two appetizers, my husband then ordered a second course, and I asked for salmon, thinking it was a main course. The waiter tells me it's an appetizer. I say it doesn't matter, it's fine anyway, and he says he'll make it bigger (I don't understand why). On the menu, I find it listed for €20. They have this subtle, scammy approach to trying to get as much money out of you as possible, which really bothers me. It's a good thing we didn't order the dry-aged meat; I already know it would have been even more expensive!
In any case, for a double appetizer, a pasta dish with meat sauce for the daughter, a main course, and an appetizer turned into a main course, a water, three glasses of wine, and three desserts, we spent a whopping €175! In my opinion, that's way too much; we won't be returning.

A top-quality dinner in a truly beautiful and elegant setting. The dishes were perfectly prepared, using the finest ingredients and meticulous attention to detail. The braised beef was truly amazing, but everything was delicious, from appetizers to dessert. During and after dinner, we had the pleasure of chatting with the owner, a kind and intelligent man, who was particularly pleasant. A truly memorable dinner and evening.

We went for lunch on Saturday.
The setting is wonderful, with these truly evocative brick vaults.
The welcome was excellent, with no wait.
We had one appetizer, two white truffle dishes, and one main course. We also had a wonderful bottle of wine recommended by the restaurant owner, as they had sold out of ours. Finally, we had dessert and coffee.
We waited a little longer to pay for our lunch because the restaurant was crowded, but the owner was very kind.
The dining room staff is highly trained, precise, and pays special attention to the customer.

We had dinner this evening, the place is splendid, the food is excellent quality, the Chianina mutton Florentine steak SUPER... the owner is very kind and very knowledgeable, special mention to the father, a special presence, good work and obviously HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
