Charmed by this little place and the little lounge on the terrace, 4 of us stopped.
A limited choice of dishes if you want to eat, but the owner does everything himself, it's the "homemade" gastronomy that we like. Excellent wine advice, in a slightly old-fashioned but very pleasant atmosphere.
A magical moment, out of time. Pleasure!

Trani = città slow and Maurizio Carella's Bistrot "Il Caramel" also super slow - totally nice. Original, authentic and very unique. Not as artificial and loud as at the Lungomare.
If you would like advice about local wines and delicacies, then you are well served at “Signore Mauri”. Take your time with you. Slow down. Wonderful. You can see the small harbor. But the real highlight there is the alley, the food, the wines, the guests and, above all, the innkeeper himself. Our special meal was the Pasta Assasina. Murderous pasta. According to legend, it was created in Bari three years ago to make good use of fresh, uncooked pasta. The spaghetti is cooked in tomato sauce with pepperoncino and oil for almost three quarters of an hour - in the pan. What secrets lie behind it... taste for yourself... Of course a fresh salad before and a Parmeggiana after. And finally a Moscati di Trani - the dessert so to speak. Thank you for the lovely evening “Signore Maurizio” and for surviving the murderous pasta ;-)

This kind of place feels good!!! Atypical, no stress, the boss is very cool (and doesn't rush, which is very important). The Campari Spritz wasn't great, but the Negroni and local white wine were delicious. The home-made basil Orechiette were really delicious. And what about the limoncello, also home made! The best I have ever tasted (at 3€!). I highly recommend, also very close to the port. And it feels good to be served by a boss without any stress ☺️Bravo!

Locale sui generis che rispecchia la personalità del suo proprietario nonché l'amore e la cultura per la sua città, vini di qualità e birre artigianali oltre alla pasta cotta al momento, focaccia e frise locali con materie prime eccellenti.
Il punto forte del locale è la sua unicità, il dehors è bellissimo ma l'interno è pura poesia, il proprietario è straordinario! Torneremo sicuramente!
