A'le propi n'ostu! It's truly an "osteria," for better or worse. It's not, as is often the case these days, a restaurant dressed up as an osteria. No, the food here is simple, though the menu is still very varied and the portions aren't as small as is currently the case. The place is rustic, small, narrow, and very crowded (it's actually a delicatessen and wine shop), so it's always best to make a reservation. This review refers to a Saturday lunch; there may be some differences for dinner. Maybe not, but it's worth mentioning. As mentioned above, the food is simple and decently cooked, the menu is extensive, and the portions are decent. The service is brisk but courteous, just like in a real osteria. My only complaint: the kitchen is open to the dining room, and this is a major flaw, both practical (odors, fumes, noise from the machinery, and the chatter of the staff) and psychological (it feels like you're eating in the kitchen). Furthermore, if I'm not mistaken, it violates regulations, which ALWAYS require a physical barrier, even if transparent, to protect consumer health and ensure food hygiene and safety. Rating for the Osteria category (you can't compare an Osteria to a fine dining restaurant): For food and service: **** Room for improvement: slightly increase the portions. For the venue: *** Room for improvement: absolutely close the kitchen!! Otherwise, it's as it is. Value for money: **** The prices are good, just like an Osteria. The total would be about THREE AND A HALF STARS; since I can't give them four, I'd give it four to be fair. If they increased the portions slightly and closed the kitchen, we'd get four and a half stars.

I've been going to lunch at Cantine Vittoria for 10 years... What has always struck me, and still strikes me, is the authenticity of the place.... The historical adaptation of an ancient inn and tavern of a distant and fascinating time..... The flavors of the dishes then... They recall old traditions and essences.... All this is enriched in a dynamic complex by the hospitality of the staff and the girls who are fantastic and fast.... What more can I say? A jewel in the crown is the Chef.... Great Aldo who enriches his dishes with the knowledge of experience.... and the skill of someone who loves and knows how to prepare food for everyone.... The wines then... Excellent... They need no introduction..... Cantine Vittoria are for me... My refreshment and my refuge to spend a few happy hours and taste excellent wine and good wine 🌹👍👍🍷😉😉
