A restaurant a bit out of the way, but within walking distance of the city center in about 15 minutes. The restaurant is small but cozy, located in a basement. The tiny mezzanine, with a few tables, is charming, creating a sense of distance from the rest of the space below. Outdoor seating is available, weather permitting. The menu is excellent, not overly varied or elaborate, yet very interesting. Traditional dishes, more or less elaborate, are well-proportioned. The wine list is good. The staff is friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Parking is available. The price/quality ratio is decent.

What can I say about these guys? Congratulations to Nando for his superb spaghetti...and especially to Delia for her professionalism and kindness...keep it up...well done. The only sore point is the "entry" which doesn't reflect this little corner of paradise...never stop at appearances.

We spent our first evening on the island here! Sarah (I hope I'm right) and her husband, who work in the service department, did everything they could to ensure our vacation on Ischia had the best start. She introduced us to Nando, the chef and head of the restaurant. She showed us the restaurant and recommended the best dishes on the menu. Be sure to try the pasta with pistachios – one of the best dishes I've ever tasted – and I really tried a lot. It was exceptionally good! Dining here is a feast for the eyes. Be sure to try the white wine from Ischia, it's absolutely delicious. We will definitely be back! Thank you for the friendly service and the wonderful evening! Best, Bella & Lucas :)

Cantinando was the highlight of our trip! My wife and I eloped in Ischia. We were told that this restaurant was the place to go to celebrate! The inside atmosphere is so cool! It appears almost as if it has been in business for 600 years! Like Pirates of the Carribean! The food was absolutely stunning. The actual ingredients grown in ischia stand out the most to us. I especially loved their octopus and cherry tomato salad, and my wife is still talking about their Rabbit Rague! Cannot recommend it enough, the staff are amazing and you can really tell they are passionate through their food!!! Can't wait to come back!

Compared to other restaurants we tried in both Napoli and on Ischia, this place was outstanding! Both when it came to the food of course, but especially when it came to the service! If we had been staying more days in Ischia we would have come back to try more things from their amazing menu 🤩

06/03/2026: One of the best places to eat in Naples. As a vegan, I really appreciated the selection. The food is truly delicious and refined, from fried foods to desserts, from sushi to hot dishes. I recommend this restaurant to everyone.
11/02/2026: Mame Ostrichina was a truly memorable experience. There’s a surprise waiting downstairs — the lower floor is beautifully designed, clearly curated with taste and intention. The atmosphere feels refined and intimate, and the art gallery element adds an unexpected cultural touch. The variety, ingenuity, and presentation of the dishes were impressive — but most importantly, the flavors were exceptional. Every course felt balanced and thoughtful. The wine selection is also outstanding, with excellent pairings that complement the menu perfectly. You may come to Naples for the pizza, but this is a true hidden gem for anyone who enjoys sushi or simply needs a refined break from the heavier local cuisine. Highly recommended.

A'Marenna

19/11/2025: To me, A’Marenna is the best place for sandwiches and salads in Sorrento—not only for the food, but also for the staff and the vibe! They have so many choices that it was hard to decide, since I liked so many toppings. I tried the panuozzo and the No.5 salad. Even though I’m not usually a fish lover, the tuna fillet was excellent—paired with cheese, almonds, apples, and greens, it offered layers of flavour and texture. I loved it so much that I ordered the same sandwich two days in a row! We ordered quite a lot: each salad comes with bread, and we also had a salad and a sandwich each. The staff wondered if we could finish everything, and we did—it became our dinner that day and breakfast the next morning. The staff were very friendly and chatted with us while preparing the food. One of them shared her love for Florence when I mentioned my upcoming trip, and when I returned the next day, they still remembered us despite serving so many customers daily. That made us feel really welcome. I also had a nice conversation with one of the staff about her holiday plans. She mentioned wanting to visit Tanzania but was concerned about the situation there. I truly hope she has a wonderful and safe journey—she deserves a relaxing holiday after such a busy tourist season.
11/11/2025: Ate lunch and dinner here several times. Had both sandwiches and salads. Everything was fantastic. And the ladies who run the place are super friendly. Highly recommend you give it a try.
