Cantina Miseria E Nobilta In Amalfi

We went to eat at this restaurant and were welcomed by an Italian guy named Rocco. Right away, he asked us if we wanted the regular menu or his menu. We decided to go with the flow and chose his version – best decision ever. He brought us cooked vegetables, lemon pasta, and lemon leaves with cheese – honestly, exactly the kind of food we love. The portions were huge – if it weren’t for my very ambitious appetite, we wouldn’t have had a chance to finish them. And the taste? Wow. Just wow. Since I know this matters to most people reading reviews: the price, compared to what we got, was way lower than many other places we ate at in Italy. But beyond the food, Rocco made us feel like family. He invited us to sit with him and his team, we shared wine and limoncello, and even more than that – he invited us to come back the next day to cook lemon pasta with him. Of course we came back, ended up watching TV together – and honestly, words can’t describe what an unforgettable experience it was. The food, the service, the price – and most of all, Rocco – deserve 100 stars. Sadly, I can only give 5. Being in Amalfi and not visiting Rocco? That’s like going to Paris and skipping the Eiffel Tower.

We had so much fun! 🍷🍝🎤 We went for a late dinner, and it was just us with a lovely family. We ordered the house wine, parmigiana di mellenzane, spaghetti al tre pomodori & spaghetti al limone. Portions were huge and food was yummy! Best bread I had in Italy so far. After our meal, we sang karaoke and watched « Deal or No Deal (Affari tuoi) » while drinking limencello. The owner even gave us a lemon from his garden! 🍋 Yes, there is a cover charge (like most Italian restaurants we’ve been to), an eclectic decor, and you might encounter a cute dog running around (Luna 🐕). But if you’re not bothered by these things, and want a unique experience, you should definitively give it a try! Grazie, Rocco, for the hospitality!

This place was amazing! Starting by amazing staff - the owner and waiteress of restaurant were very friendly and outgoing. The food we had, was excelent as well - we had lemon spagethi and lemon cake. Simply perfect, thank you ❤️.

This was THE BEST experience in our Amalfi trip ! - In this restaurant, they invited us as family! - We had the best lemon pasta in the whole trip. - We tried house wine, limoncello and the best hospitality in Amalfi town. You just can not miss this place, thank you ! 🍋❤️

This restaurant was such an amazing experience! We were served the most amazing homemade pasta—including the best lemon spaghetti ever! Rocco is so hospitable. Everything at this restaurant is home grown, and the wine is homemade. Super reasonably priced too. If you’re looking for an authentic Italian meal, come here.

A very authentic restaurant a little away from the tourist crowds. The food was very, very good and the waiter was also an original. The restaurant inside has seen better days but the value for money was very good. The terrace is wonderful and you can always find a new detail. We would come here again if we visit Amalfi again.

A fine dining experience! Rocco was a great host. Classic Italian dishes were sublime. Limoncello and wine were a great value compared to other over-priced amalfi restaurants. A bit of a walk up the road but that area was a nice break from the hectic main square.

Authentic Italian cuisine. Owner is eccentric and very entertaining. A must to get away from the crowds. A must try is the lemon spaghetti!!!
