The name cantina is certainly suitable for the wine selection and the very special location, but it is not exhaustive for the gastronomic offer. An ancient cellar dug into the tuff, with quality gastronomic proposals, which enhance the typical and sometimes forgotten products of local agriculture such as lupin soup, roveia and wild herbs, or "creative" reinterpretations such as dolmades alla soranese. The pastry made with potatoes and pecorino is very original. The menu offers a good number of naturally gluten-free dishes. A unique experience that is remembered with pleasure. Ate better than I have in a long time.
Excellent experience in this typical restaurant of the village. The choice of raw materials is there and you can taste it in the dishes we tasted, a zero km selection of what is served at the table.

A fantastic environment, a wonderful and uncommon selection of local wines (compared to classic tourist restaurants), mouth-watering dishes. Friendly, competent and non-invasive (but very helpful) manager. Sorano is very beautiful, but even if it wasn't it would be worth a visit just for L'Ottava Rima.

We were really happy to have found this charming corner, a little cave in the tuff full of historical objects and eclectic pieces of art, some questionable... but that's exactly the effect art should have! The spectacular ceramics, the trip was worth it even for this alone. Excellent food, of the highest quality and excellent wines and beers with a large selection. Super happy.
