Canni & Pisci-Meat & Fish In Catania

Very nice restaurant in the center of Catania. It's located in an area where parking is quite difficult. I tried the seafood and I'd say I was very pleased. The staff was absolutely super professional and extremely kind.

We booked our table here for the last dinner of our mini-vacation in Catania on the recommendation of the owner of our accommodation, and we have to thank her for having had an amazing culinary experience. We chose the selection of seafood appetizers—raw, hot, cold, and fried—accompanied by a small sample of caponata and an excellent basket of bread and sesame breadsticks, and were completely blown away by the quality and freshness of the ingredients. The menu offered many other dishes, but we preferred to stop after the appetizers because, with so many courses arriving, we struggled to finish everything. The final bill was high and average for similarly sized restaurants, but believe me, it's worth it! Highly recommended!

On the recommendation of several friends and encouraged by reading a few reviews, I finally dined at this lovely restaurant located just steps from Catania Cathedral. Welcoming a warm and friendly welcome from the owners, and with the fresh fish beautifully displayed, we immediately noticed the professionalism and friendliness of the staff. As the name of the restaurant suggests, we chose both fish (excellent) and meat dishes, and from the appetizers we were extremely satisfied (and full) after enjoying an excellent warm seafood salad—two, in fact—and a large charcuterie board for three. Moving on to the main course, between a glass of wine and another, we chose sea bream and pork shank. The fish, which was once again a favorite, I would have preferred for its freshness and the care with which it was prepared. We didn't manage to order anything else, but we'll soon try the first courses and desserts. The prices are fair for the quality and quantity of the offerings.

Very quaint place Questionable menu We opted for the fixed menu (mediocre). The main courses were swordfish, but the quantity was insufficient (I come from a seaside town). It wasn't swordfish. Sorry, they lost a customer.

Everything was very good with a fish menu for 33 euros.

We've went there our first night in Catania upon recommendation from a local. We've booked a table a couple hours prior. The food was very tasty, and in my opinion quite fresh, we've had the fritto misto, a gnocchi with shrimp and a mixed grilled fish. We noticed only that the servers were a bit, wouldn't say rude, but slightly annoyed with us perhaps. The tables also weren't in the best location (hallway next to the kitchen entrance), however being that we booked only a couple of hours before, on a Saturday I wouldnt count that as a minus. The price isnt cheap, around €90, being that we split the starter, and had a glass of wine each, no desserts and no coffee. There is the option of a fixed starters menù which is probably very much worth the money. All in all would come back gladly

A true delight, let yourself be tempted. Delicious and varied fish, excellent meats. Top-notch service. A quiet location yet very close to the center. Without hesitation! I'll be back if I'm ever in Catania again.

Excellent food, especially the fish – superb quality. I didn't appreciate the disapproving looks I received when I entered the restaurant wearing sneakers...

Clearly the place to be in Catania. The pasta here is excellent and cooked perfectly al dente. Service is a little slow but would certainly return for the food! We also noticed (sadly too late) that pretty much everyone else there was having the set menu - which was great value and allowed you to try A LOT. So if you’re going - I’d definitely suggest to try that rather than à la carte.
