Camera a Sud In Bologna

The place where we initially wanted to eat was full. There are so many eateries in the center of Bologna that we went for a walk and read the reviews for every single one. This one had good reviews, so we decided to give it a try. There was a spot available, but in an odd seating area with a small set of steps in a corner. The benches were uncomfortable. They could have placed cushions there, but it was also situated separately, above the rest of the place. Nevertheless, we gave it a try. The service was very helpful and friendly. They also spoke English. There was spontaneous live piano music, played by one of the guests, I think. We had, among other things: focaccina barese, babaganoush, lasagna (vegetarian), and pollo al curry. The vegetarian lasagna was disappointing: it contained so much chicory that it tasted very bitter. As far as I'm concerned, they can remove that dish from the menu. The chicken curry, on the other hand, was fine. The prices were reasonable. The restaurant is located in a neighborhood with a lot of graffiti, which actually created a nice atmosphere. You could also sit outside. All in all, a nice, informal place with a good vibe.

I went to Camera a sud with a friend for the first time for an aperitivo. Both vegetarians, we had no trouble finding something to eat. Delicious food. The service was super pleasant, without too much of a wait. The place has both indoor and outdoor seating. I highly recommend it if you're looking for a place in the center of Bologna that's not too touristy.

Perfect for a drink, relaxed atmosphere, and top-notch staff. We'll be back.
