If you're looking to visit the historic center of Cosenza, Trattoria Calabria Bella, a name that speaks for itself, is the place to be. Eight of us, some of whom chose the first course (strigoli or lagane), others the second course (lamb or tagliata), were happy with their choices. The owner recommended an excellent "4 lustri" Magliocco wine.

This trattoria is located right in Piazza Duomo. The restaurant has retained its original furnishings, giving it a touch of the past. Here, you can enjoy local produce. We ate very well, and the service was up to par with the evening.

31/01/2026: On the way back from our skiing holiday, we decided to stop in Mormanno, a charming village, and we went to this restaurant for lunch. As soon as we entered, we immediately felt it was a welcoming place. The owner, very kind and friendly, described the products, all typical of the area. We chose several dishes and found them all delicious, high-quality, and with that extra touch that makes all the difference! Between the various courses, the owner continued to describe the location, the beautiful sights to visit, and the local characteristics, and this stop was a perfect blend of flavors and culture. For this reason, we highly recommend it!
28/01/2026: Nice place to eat. In season, fresh truffles from the region. There is also pizza and local beers. I thought it was a bit cold inside, but it was winter.

Il Piccolo Ranch

18/01/2026: Visited several times over the years, it has lost its ranch spirit over time, gradually becoming a restaurant and less of a riding stable and rural activity. In the past, you could sense a much more familiar atmosphere than you do today. The outdoor play area, unfortunately, lacks trees and is almost unusable on hot days because the sun heats the plastic, making it scorching hot. I also noticed a shift in the food, and where there was once sophistication, there is now a repetitiveness of things you've seen many times before. Alas, the name, which once perfectly suited this establishment, now seems anachronistic and almost out of place. No horses, no riding stable, nothing of the Ranch remains.
03/01/2026: The taste of hospitality! Passionate dishes, good wine, and the taste of home... come, stop, and eat your little piece of paradise.
