A dive into the elegance of the past! the place is beautiful, with stuccoes, bas-reliefs and lit candelabras. Elegant and refined atmosphere of mid-Europe. The food was excellent, the fresh fish expertly enhanced by the chef and presented very well. a particular note of merit goes to the waiters who added to the professionalism and impeccable service so much interesting historical and literary information on the restaurant and the dishes. The bill was a favorable surprise in relation to the quality and raw material. a truly enjoyable evening and worth repeating.

Very high quality local ingredients (fish, tartufo from Istria) enhanced by great culinary techniques. Excellent service with very friendly and caring waiter, who took the time to explain us into details each dish, the history of the restaurant and cafe and the local traditions. We were offered sorbetto between the main courses and the dessert and an exquisite local liquor at the end. Cherry on the cake was the great price/quality ratio!

An unforgettable experience at Caffè Tommaseo! 🌟 The service was impeccable thanks to an extraordinary waiter, always kind, professional and attentive to every detail. He passionately told us the fascinating history of the place, which really moved us and made us appreciate this unique place even more. The desserts are simply divine, a true explosion of flavors that left us speechless. The quality of the dishes, the warm and welcoming atmosphere and the excellent service make Tommaseo a special place to which we will definitely return. Thank you very much for this experience! We can't wait to return. Congratulations to all the staff!

19/02/2025: Taglio di carne danese eccellente e presentato in modo impeccabile. Servizio senza sbavature. Da apprezzare l'onestà del personale di sala che prima di servirmi la carne (il prezzo era all'etto) mi ha fatto sapere quanto avrei pagato esattamente. Tornerò sicuramente
18/02/2025: Rimaniamo sempre piacevolmente colpiti dalla qualità del cibo e dell'ottimo servizio. Il Biancospino è una garanzia, una coccola illuminata da luci soffuse in cui dimenticare il mondo fuori. Consigliatissimo!

16/02/2025: Personally the best pizzeria in Trieste. Discovered by chance, it turned out to be a gem. Wide choice of pizzas also with local ingredients, unquestionable quality, very fast service and friendly staff. I also recommend the Italian starter: plentiful and delicious. Prices are competitive. There is not only pizza, it is also possible to order first and second courses.
