Caffe' Tommaseo In Trieste

It was recommended to us by a friend from Trieste, and we were captivated by both the historic location and the cuisine. The dining room staff were very professional and friendly!

Refined interior, splendid venue, good fish and excellent wine.

The macarons were delicious and the coffee was delicious!

Last night I celebrated Women's Day at the Tommaseo restaurant in Trieste, and it was truly a special evening. The location is beautiful and meticulously maintained: a refined elegance that creates an almost old-world atmosphere. For one evening, I felt truly pampered in a classy setting. The cuisine was worthy of the evening: carefully prepared dishes, excellent flavors, and a truly exquisite risotto. The dinner show organized by New Sound was, as always, fun and engaging. Great music, lovely people, and a cheerful atmosphere made everything even more enjoyable. And then the "fazzolettata"... a moving moment that brought my heart back to my homeland. Thank you for the wonderful evening: I'll be back!!!

We celebrated my birthday and Women's Day with my friends. The food was wonderful and exceptional, and the staff was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. Thank you, we'll definitely be back.

Visiting this place is truly an experience - it's definitely worth adding it to your Trieste itinerary. With nearly two centuries of history to its name, Caffè Tommaseo is an iconic coffee place that offers splendid coffee and remarkable atmosphere. ☕ The cafe is located in the city centre and boasts really extraordinary interior design, making it a great place for a more sophisticated coffee break or a celebration. You can choose from a wide selection of beverages (including delicious coffee), pastries, cookies and cakes. Don't let the name fool you, they also offer a restaurant service with refined dishes and various breakfast options. 🍰 I'd say the overall experience was really exceptional, as the staff were really welcoming and attentive, but the quality of cookies was rather disappointing (especially given the price). The coffee was delicious and we concluded we really made a mistake saving Caffè Tommaseo for the last day, as we couldn't return there (fingers crossed we get a chance to visit Trieste again). The crostata left nothing to be desired, though.

Had a group dinner for 50 pax and all went very well. Delicious food (good quantities), great atmosphere in an historic building and an amazing service. Professional and friendly staff that delivered a smooth service. Recommended 100% for group events. Thanks

An experience! The food and ambiance were top-notch! But who advises and serves the dishes? A fantastic team—especially Signore Vivian Jauet Biaguli! A highly recommended restaurant in Trieste, where there are other lovely restaurants as well.

Excellent food, excellent service, excellent atmosphere, we have spent wonderfull evening in this cosy and romantic restorant! We will come again here next time in Trieste.
