Caffe Svevo In Altamura

We stumbled upon this bar by chance while passing through Altamura to buy bread. Of course, we couldn't miss out on trying the pasticciotti. We tried the crema e cioccolato, delicious! Among the best we've ever had, but besides the pasticciotti, another highlight of the place is its owner. A very friendly and kind gentleman, we chatted with him for a bit and he was truly kind. Before we left, he even gave us a lucky charm, a meringue, and a pastiera, delicious! DEFINITELY GO THERE, we'll definitely be back.

The pasticciotti are exceptional, the best I've ever eaten, and the gentleman who runs the place is incredibly kind and friendly. I'll definitely be back.

The pastries taste heavenly! They melt in your mouth!

The atmosphere of a small Italian café with character. We had the pleasure of being served by a very kind older gentleman – perhaps the owner? He doesn't speak English, but we managed to get the order right. The plain and chocolate croissants were fresh and delicious. Unfortunately, the version with white cream, which we weren't entirely sure what it was, was second-rate, and we didn't like the cream itself. It's definitely not just whipped cream or mascarpone. Overall, I highly recommend visiting this place!
