Caffe Roma In Forte dei marmi

The location is central, with endless tables: it's impossible not to find a seat. The cocktails are well-prepared, and the aperitifs are accompanied by delicious hot pizza. The service is uneven: paradoxically, the seasonal employees are the most helpful and kind, especially a young woman with long hair and an Eastern accent deserves sincere compliments for her professionalism and kindness. On the other hand, out of season, you're not always lucky enough to find empathetic staff. On more than one occasion, simply grabbing a coffee at the counter seemed to be a nuisance to the managers: I must have been lucky enough to be there on a few off days, but I hope it's not the norm.

I understand that we are in Forte Dei Marmi, but if for 1 mignon, a jam brioche and two soy cappuccinos, I have to spend €16, I expect that they are all fantastic and not ordinary products.

Service has deteriorated over the years despite the high prices. It's always been a go-to café in Forte dei Marmi, but the last time was disappointing. Not because of the quality of the products, which were still good (especially the gelato), but because of the service, which was truly inadequate for a café of this size. Three gelato cups, a tonic, and a half-liter of still water cost €40. It's unacceptable that the waiter doesn't know the limited gelato flavors available (there were probably 10) and can't distinguish between "cream" and "non-cream." It's unacceptable that when you ask for the bill upon entering the café, the response is "you should find your waiter and ask him." Overall, the service absolutely doesn't live up to the setting and the coffee. It's a shame because it's always been a go-to café, not to mention a great café with good products.
