A concept. The sweets are unsurpassable. Presentation and coffee are top. Location and atmosphere magnificent. The price is also there (on the high side, but rightly so). Service is sometimes a bit grumpy, if not everything goes as they think it should.

Beautiful atmospheric coffee drunk with delicious artisanal cakes. The balcony was full this time but inside also a beautiful view with a breeze over the valley. Third time and remains a beautiful experience. Recommended!

Returning to this historic café after years was a strange feeling. The first time it was winter and it was snowing, it was half empty and I had heard Piero Ciampi sing for the first time in my life right there… I came back by chance and I enter and I recognize it, I recognize those sofas, those cups and the flash of that strange day comes back to me, I find the old photo taken right next to the window in that rarefied and suspended atmosphere… I show it to my companion. Now instead it is a riot of tourists, a few too many Americans who unfortunately do not understand the meaning of these places and always have that slightly profanatory attitude… In any case we sit on the balcony, where there are some tables and a small shelf that overlook the belvedere, among the carousels of swallows, and the waiter - always him - kindly serves us some wonderful krapfen and an excellent coffee. We look at the beauty of this land, the beautiful wood of the windows and the little living room where we move when the sun begins to rise above the awning. How much beauty in authentic things… we say goodbye to this place, an involuntary and almost casual witness of important moments, but at the same time so appropriate.
