Highly recommended for a lunch stop if you're in Lucca. The "La Spenta" stuffed focaccia from Lucca is excellent, with grilled vegetables in oil and very fresh mozzarella. Delicious and crunchy. All washed down with a Spritz! Viviana, the entire staff, and the owner Giovanni and his mother, who offered us a digestive, were very friendly. Our rating is 10+1.

This is a treasure! I loved the simplicity of presentation honestly. I am a restaurant owner. And I love good service. The waiter was super friendly and kind, the food was excellent. The bread in the bag, the whole bottle of olive oil and Parmesan as a gift from the house. The vegetable soup was out of that world. We had a pizza and I had the beef cooked in red wine. The food was so good, it did not needed decoration! Don’t miss to experience.that!

One of the first places you are likely to stumble upon when entering the walled city from the south east entrance, hence we visited often! Had a couple of meals here over the course of our holiday and a few nights of just drinking. Price of the meals and drinks were very reasonable, good quality food and I like the fact that if the business was slow they bring out platters of food with drinks rather than throwing it away. Staff were really friendly too.

We ate here today. I had the vegetable soup with bread plus an extra bag of bread. My husband had spit roast pork and salad. All the food was delicious and all the ladies were great. My Aperol Spritz was perfect and my husband enjoyed the local beer . We would definitely recommend and if we return to Lucca. That will be our first stop.

15/03/2026: Very close to the hotel, it's fine so far, however I/we have noticed that it takes a very long time until someone comes to take the order.
15/03/2026: Four stars... The location is beautiful, but a few more smiles wouldn't hurt! But I'll be back to try it again!
