Caffè Le Dahu In Courmayeur

We had a branch at this place on 01/08/26 with 3 couples: average place, a bit annoyed staff, average food but prices tending towards the higher side (..moreover..given the area..let's say average).

Food was good, wait staff were good, non stop country music was terrible

We visited Le Dahu twice during our stay in Courmayeur in July 2026, and that probably says everything about how much we enjoyed it. It is a lovely café/bar located right in the heart of Courmayeur, with a relaxed, lively, and welcoming atmosphere. On our visits, we enjoyed the Campari Spritz and Rosé Prosecco, which were excellent. The complimentary stuzzichini were also fantastic and the perfect accompaniment to the drinks. The place was clearly very popular, and on our first visit we waited about 10 minutes for a table, but it was definitely worth it. The service was consistently friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere was one of the highlights of our time in Courmayeur. It has a genuinely chilled-out vibe and is the kind of place where you can happily spend an hour or two just relaxing and soaking up the atmosphere. A fantastic spot for drinks in Courmayeur. We enjoyed it so much that we came back a second time, and we would happily visit again.

Superb bar with original cocktails and food platters!

Already expensive for small portions and they charge a service fee on top for bread I didn't ask for and didn't eat. Atmosphere only nice if you're a smoker. Shame because the small amount of pasta I was served was nice enough.

We really enjoyed our meal here- the sausage polenta was delicious and filling. The food came quickly. Our server was excellent- very friendly, attentive and accommodating, even giving us extra gluten-free bread. The only downside was that we were attracted to eating at the restaurant because of its nice outdoor terrace. After sitting there for awhile without being noticed, the server said for supper we had to sit inside. Inside was fine but a bit stuffy and hot with no fan or AC.

Lasagna was very good and our waiter was lovely. However, unfortunately this place has hidden fees. We were charged €3 per person as a service fee without being told about it, and then the lasagna was €3 more expensive than it was listed on the menu. Overall paid €15 more than expected. Wouldn’t recommend going just because of that
