Very nice place, kind and pleasant service, beautiful table setting, strong point also the lake view outside on the terrace. The food however is not up to par, pasta with clams tasteless and soupy on the bottom. The tentacle with nduja and mashed potatoes is a very good pairing, but it must be left whole and grilled, because in slices it seems to have come out of a defrosted vacuum. Very limited choice of wines by the glass (one if not 2 choices after request) There is potential but the preparations need to be reviewed and corrected

Beautiful, modern restaurant with a view of the lake. Upon entering, you're greeted warmly and asked where you'd like to sit. We sat in the shade on the terrace in the second row in the sweltering 30°C heat. The view was fantastic. The food was delicious, not your usual standard fare like pizza and pasta. Delicious risotto, delicious, unusual pasta dishes.

Great restaurant with incredible service!

We have been regular visitors to L'Angolo del Buon Gustaio in Castiglione del Lago over the years - but now Riccardo Poggiani has surpassed himself with the opening of La Terrazza right across the road. On stepping inside, one immediately has the sense of something really world class. This fairly new restaurant is decorated with a modern decor and gives the sense of calmness and coolness on this 32 degree day. We had booked for lunch and were seated out on the terrace under the large umbrella with the beautiful vista of Lago Trasimeno before us. There were 4 of us and we all found it difficult to decide on our meals - the menu covered everything, particularly seafood and of course lake fish. So, after a shared seafood platter and an Aperol Spritz we finally made our decisions on food and wine. Our choices didn't disappoint - everything was superb. And of course served by efficient waitresses who were discreet, but onto our every wish! This is a must stop when in the northern Perugia area. My only suggestion would be to book if you would like a table on the terrace on a fine summers day! We will definately return here to this amazing place and we wish Riccardo all the luck with this fine new venture of his.

Ristorante La Terrazza is at the same place as the Café Latino before . But what a huge difference !! Completely and very stylish renovated , even for a a large interior , they looked at every detail for the placemats , cutlery , warm colours . But much more importantly : the food and the service . The food was absolutely great ! Fresh , large portions , very tasty prepared and served . Wether you order fish ( as I did , the grilled gamberi ) or meat or fish soup … very nice ! Prices are certainly not too high for a touristic environment Very correct . You will notice also quite some locals there for lunch or dinner . And the wine card : very large , much choice , local ( Trasimeno region and Umbrië ) but from all over Italy . It is an absolute add -on for Castiglione del Lago : high quality food and not ripp off prices for non - locals . Just go and experience for yourself ! And BTW : service was perfect , not had to ask twice or raise hands . Love it ! Thanks team La Terrazza ! 🙏

Mi esposa y yo nos topamos con esta joya escondida por accidente. No teníamos reserva, pero eran muy agradables y serviciales. El servidor era increíble. Ella tomó las mejores fotos que hemos tenido para nuestro viaje. Ella era muy hospitalario y servicial para nosotros como hablantes de inglés. Luego está la comida. Fue fantástico y las porciones eran muy generosas. Traté de comérmelo todo, pero no pude. Por si todo eso no fuera suficiente, recibimos la factura de que nos sorprendió lo barato que era. Tienes que probar este lugar. No te arrepentirás.
