Caffe Latino - Bar, Ristorante, Pizzeria In Castiglione del lago

A modern, beautifully decorated restaurant with a view of the lake and very friendly service. Both the starter (beef tartare with burrata and truffle) and the main course (saffron risotto) were delicious. Everything was excellent. Definitely recommended.

Excellent food and beautiful views. Extensive menu of seafood , lake fish and meats. Basically something for everyone including children. The wine list is very approachable featuring some great locals.

Fresh salad. Good service and nice setting.

I was particularly impressed by the kindness of the staff. The food was excellent, and the restaurant was meticulously maintained.

A must-go for anyone who loves truly good food. Opened this spring (before, it housed a kind of pizzeria) and already a staple. If you (also) love fish, you should definitely go here. I chose "Pici allo scoglio," a generously filled plate of seafood pasta. My husband opted for "Pacchero all'astice" pasta with half a lobster. Both dishes receive a solid 10. Next, I chose "Branzino," sea bass fillet topped with wafer-thin potatoes and olives. My husband chose "Tagliata di Manza" with "Patate el forno." Nothing but praise for these dishes either. Beautifully presented plates and generous portions. Finally, we had "Tiramisu" and "Millefoglie scomposta con crema chantilly e fragole." What a wonderful evening in a fantastic village we visit every year and know the restaurants quite well, but 'La Terrazza' already stands out. We're critical, but what a taste sensation, friendly service with genuine attention to the guests, and a beautiful view from the terrace. Hats off to them for pulling it all off in such a short time. We will definitely be back.

This new restaurant in Castiglione del Lago is a wonderful place. Beautiful decor, excellent and attentive service, a breathtaking view, and of course, top-notch food. The seafood pasta and the lobster pasta were the best pasta we've ever had. They have an extensive wine list with plenty of good local wines. And all of this at a very reasonable price. In short, a must-visit if you're near Castiglione del Lago.

The food was exquisite. I recommend Branzino! The fish was spectacular. The octopus was also delicious. We were a group of eight people. Everyone loved their dishes. The sunset was spectacular. Highly recommended.

The service and atmosphere were good, and the view is also nice! We were a bit disappointed with the food. The lobster pasta wasn't quite cooked through. The pici was good, though. The salmon tartare lacked flavor.

Ristorante La Terrazza is at the same place as the Café Latino before . But what a huge difference !! Completely and very stylish renovated , even for a a large interior , they looked at every detail for the placemats , cutlery , warm colours . But much more importantly : the food and the service . The food was absolutely great ! Fresh , large portions , very tasty prepared and served . Wether you order fish ( as I did , the grilled gamberi ) or meat or fish soup … very nice ! Prices are certainly not too high for a touristic environment Very correct . You will notice also quite some locals there for lunch or dinner . And the wine card : very large , much choice , local ( Trasimeno region and Umbrië ) but from all over Italy . It is an absolute add -on for Castiglione del Lago : high quality food and not ripp off prices for non - locals . Just go and experience for yourself ! And BTW : service was perfect , not had to ask twice or raise hands . Love it ! Thanks team La Terrazza ! 🙏

Mi esposa y yo nos topamos con esta joya escondida por accidente. No teníamos reserva, pero eran muy agradables y serviciales. El servidor era increíble. Ella tomó las mejores fotos que hemos tenido para nuestro viaje. Ella era muy hospitalario y servicial para nosotros como hablantes de inglés. Luego está la comida. Fue fantástico y las porciones eran muy generosas. Traté de comérmelo todo, pero no pude. Por si todo eso no fuera suficiente, recibimos la factura de que nos sorprendió lo barato que era. Tienes que probar este lugar. No te arrepentirás.
