Caffè Gioberti : Caffetteria, Piadineria e Toasteria In Ivrea

The place is very nice, the staff is helpful and kind! Honestly, the Romagna piadina (defined as the specialty) is not that great... Good but not worth the cost of the menu.... Then I don't understand the extra euro for the traditional piadina.... If one takes it whole, we will is, but for the traditional one I don't find the sense... I was expecting a piadina to remember but that's not the case... Obviously it's my personal opinion...

Durante il viaggio di ritorno dai mercatini di natale abbiamo sostato ad Ivrea e qui, per caso, abbiamo deciso di pranzare al caffè Gioberti. Il locale è molto accogliente e la proprietaria è davvero una persona gentilissima. Abbiamo mangiato le piadine con varie tipologie di combinazione di formaggio e verdure. Beh, vi dico che venendo noi dalle Marche, dove la piadina è uno dei nostri cibi gastronomici di rilievo, dobbiamo fare davvero i complimenti alla squisita sfogliata e all' ottima qualità dei prodotti che ci abbiamo gustato. Il tutto ad un costo davvero contenuto. Questo incontro ci ha fatto conoscere una persona che, ha dimostrato di mettere passione e qualità nella sua attività di famiglia. Locale caratteristico, abbiamo mangiato un’ottima piadina e bevuto una buona birra artigianale. Proprietari gentilissimi e appassionati… prezzo corretto in rapporto all’alta qualità della materia prima.

It rarely happens that I give 5 stars to a restaurant or a piadina shop or simply to a coffee shop... This time I will give 5 stars but with one star less for the food because according to the limited experience I had in this cafe and by ordering a piadina in which there was a caramelized onion, I felt a too sweetish taste which made me a little ' disturbed.. but what positively struck me was that when I pointed it out to the owner, she accepted the advice and understood the dosage and I hope she also understood what to correct... The piadinas are good, the raw materials are excellent, the coffee and drinks are still excellent.. I should also say that the owners are welcoming and make you feel that you are at home... very friendly... This is why I gave it a 5... because I notice that it is a place that is trying to improve and that continues to evolve in friendship and business.. I forgot to mention that this place, this little coffee museum continues to be a true club or temple of culture of all kinds... an interesting thing... I recommend it to anyone who visits Ivrea...

Lucky enough to stumble on this while having a look round Ivrea. Super kind, friendly owner and excellent piadina - veggies are roasted here, ingredients are fresh and the pastry is perfectly light. Try the organic cola too. Unassuming cafe on a lovely setting overlooking the square. Recommend.
