Villa La Versiliana is a beautiful historic building located in Marina di Pietrasanta near the sea. The main feature is that it is located within a vast natural park which is the only residual area of ​​the ancient forest that extended along the entire coast of the area. The villa was built in 1886 and in 1902 Gabriele D'Annunzio lived there and composed the famous poem "The rain in the pine forest" here. It is currently owned by the Municipality of Pietrasanta and in the adjacent areas the Versiliana Festival has taken place for many years in the summer, with a varied, considerable program which has enjoyed excellent success with the public.
