Caffè del Porto sits in the beautiful spot of Santa Margherita Ligure yet the overall experience failed to live up to its location. The service at the restaurant was slow and we experienced a long wait before getting our food. The meal proved to be merely average when it arrived. The meal lacked any defining tastes or distinctive experiences, it simply arrived and departed. This place works well if you want to enjoy a drink while taking in the view.

The tourist lunch spot is good, but portions are a little small. Prices normal. Location along the sea but also along the road, a little noisy but you can converse easily.

The interior has lots of atmosphere, or you can eat at a table by the water. Got some of the wonderful croissants (pistachio filled and integrale) which were great. Kind service and reasonable prices. Nice place!

Bonne trattoria classique. Accueil convivial et agréable. On sent que cela est familial. Cuisine ligure traditionnelle. Très bonnes pâtes au pesto avec les pommes de terre et haricots verts !! Bonne focaccio au fromage qui est la spécialité locale !! Carte des vins intéressante même si classique !

We had an amazing breakfast here, and it ended up being one of the best meals I had in Italy. We ordered the seafood salad, packed with fresh sliced squid, shrimp, and tomatoes — super fresh and flavorful. I also had the coffee shake, which was so tasty, and we spotted some fried plantains in the pastry display that were incredibly delicious. The cafe has outdoor seating with a beautiful view of the water and boats, and the breeze made it even better. One of the waitresses was so kind and helpful, especially since we didn’t speak Italian — I wish we had gotten her name! If we’re ever back in Santa Margherita, I would definitely come back. Highly recommend!

Ci siamo fermati per un pranzo con la famiglia. Ambiente accogliente. Ottima pasta al pesto. Focaccia al formaggio molto buona.

31/01/2025: Finally the bread I always want 🫠 healthy, real, alive! Yes, you pay €9/kg and since it weighs a lot for two half loaves (senator hats and ancient grains) and two pieces of focaccia I spent €14 maaaaa... I'm happy! #ilnomadevegano thanks Sturla's friends who reported it to him 😉
