Here the apero on the lake shore is a must! Highly recommended!

The Ambiente is nice but the service ist not as good as written. After requesting the card for lunch they did not told us the day dishes and let us have a view on the QR Code although they had a hard menue. After requesting oil and vinegar we only get oil, also the other tabels get a complete ones without asking. So I could not recommend it again.

The only café directly on the lake. Busy in the evenings. Ideal for breakfast.

Point in favor of the place is the location on the lake... For the rest... what can I say, a sour spritz with the flavor of water... not accompanied by anything... the excuse (madam, the aperitif opens at 5:30, they are preparing things) opening two snacks and three chips before 5:30 is not allowed... 2 ice cream cups that have nothing of a cup... on a plate with three scoops of ice cream and three pieces of fruit... we paid what you see in the photo 22 euros...

Historic venue with an absolutely enviable position, where you can admire the lake and the entire horizon. Particularly suggestive at sunset. Excellent for aperitifs, lunch breaks or a refreshing stop during a trip to the city.

Caffè Clerici has an elegant external colonnade and is located directly on the lakefront, next to the Porto Vecchio of Luino. The location and the exteriors are its best feature. We stopped for breakfast (decent coffee and mediocre croissant). But, as far as I'm concerned, breakfast was just a pretext to see a place so loved and talked about by Piero Chiara, who was born in 1913 right in the building in front of the Caffè Clerici. Many of his literary works were born within those walls. I must say that I expected a greater reference to the works of the managers from the managers writer, but times are what they are and culture is now of less and less interest. Only a commemorative plaque placed outside remembers the writer. From this point of view (and not only) it is preferable to go to the bar opposite, across the street.
