Caffe Antico Toti In Pisa

Despite the other reviews which date from 3.5 and 7 years ago. The restaurant has improved significantly since then and I had a great time in this quiet street. With fresh basil and really good bruschetta!!

Riuscire a trovare uno spaghetto allo scarpariello (pomodoro e formaggio, apparentemente semplice, perciò complicato) di qualità e gusto, a Pisa, è merce rara. Buona anche la tagliatella con il cinghiale, morbido e condito. Porzioni abbondanti, cucina saporita, buoni anche i profiteroles che sono come li fareste a casa. Continuerei a puntare e promuovere il tipo di cucina che gli viene meglio, magari istituendo un menù pranzo a prezzo fisso per attirare clienti. Si puo migliorare qualcosa ma la base C'è merita 5/5. Niente da invidiare ad altre tavole calde in zona

The old rule sais: If you want to check something properly, do it yourself. If I had read the reviews, I would never have gone there. But I hadn't... Thank goodness! The food was magnificent, the wine was perfectly selected, all you had to do, was trust the waiter (or the owner?). To be clear, at a very good price. Portions size vary, depending on what you order. The waiter (owner?) serves more in the English style. than in the Italian - quite restrained. I like. Prices reasonable. We ate: - ravioli with ricotta, truffles, butter and black pepper - extraordinary! - spaghetti with vongolas - super tasty and spicy! - risotto al Chianti with crispy prosciutto - perfect! - Tiramisu - excellent! (wife's opinion, I didn't want to loose the taste of risotto :-) ) - wine: Ser Lapo Reserva 2020. One of the best meal in Italy in my life! Recomend!

There are a lot of bad reviews here that I can't understand. We were here at lunchtime, there was nothing going on, the waiter was certainly not the most attentive, but very nice! I know a lot about food, what we ate was really very good, both in terms of the preparation and the quality of the food. Both of our dishes were authentic and down-to-earth, I would eat here again in a heartbeat. Anyone who knows real Italian cuisine will definitely feel at home here. Excellent coffee.
