I'm giving it 5 stars to improve things a bit. It's not a mega café, but it's certainly better than 2.9 stars. Two sandwiches and a coffee cost 20 euros.

We have just had the most wonderful week in Lucca under the hot Tuscan sun! One of the highlights of our week was enjoying on THREE occasions late afternoon cocktails! The Espresso Martini was the best ever and my partner loved her Aperol Spritz expertly crafted by an outstanding bar tender

Very friendly service 😀. The coffee was excellent, and the little sweet treats were also delicious 🥰. The price is to be expected for the location in Lucca.

Lucca's historic, beautiful bar has a vintage feel that almost takes me back to my childhood.
I often stop here when I'm training on my bike and my ride takes me to the Lucca area, for a quick coffee break... it's very pleasant.

We stopped for breakfast, there were two of us.
They welcomed us very warmly and cleaned the table thoroughly.
We had two coffees, one with a macchiato, one jam tart, and one apple pie.
I must say the desserts were good, and the coffee was good.
The view of the square, right on the corner, is unique. There's always people coming and going, but you're never disturbed. I'll be back.

Beautifully located on Piazza San Michele. The waiter seemed a bit overwhelmed despite his self-proclaimed English skills. The ice cream was quite good, in our opinion. The fruit ice cream was really super fruity, and the milk ice cream was super creamy. The price...awesome.
3 (really small) scoops cost €5.80. But no coperto.
