A refuge nestled at the foot of the Mont Blanc glacier. A charming spot with excellent food. You'll find traditional dishes as well as alternatives to the classic dishes featuring local cheeses. You can reach the place on foot via a long but stunning hike through the entire Val Veny, or, as we did, by mountain bike rented in the valley. You can safely store your bike. The service is fast, young, and attentive, and the place is very clean. Accommodation is available on the upper floor for those who want to continue exploring the valley on subsequent days. Highly recommended.

One of our favorite refugios! You could tell you had crossed into Italy by the quality of the food and coffee. Everything was top-notch here, from the room, to the service. Alessio attended to us and was very helpful with extra things like the weather report, extra chips, etc.

Lovely rifugio, one of my favourite along the TMB. Clean and spacious, and friendly staff. The walk to the Miage Glacier just behind is easy and worth it.

- Good food, vegetarian was just scrambled eggs though
- Very clean, bins to take belongings to room. Runs on generator so lights out and devices not charging after 8pm
-great option for location, heard bad things about elisabetta just up the road. Very clean and newer than expected

We weren't able to try the rooms and service at the Cabane du Combal, but we received some unexpected help from the woman who handles reservations. She found a solution for us, and a young man from the Cabane drove us back down to Courmayeur, saving the rest of our day. A big thank you to them for their hospitality and help.
At least we were able to try the beers, which were very comforting 😉

We had a lovely stay here whilst hiking the TMB. Wonderful staff who were warm and welcoming, clean rooms that were spacious and had well-equipped toilets (two sinks!), and the most sumptuous meals for both dinner and breakfast. Out of all the refuges we've stayed at along the TMB trail, this was the best overall experience. Not to mention the beautiful exterior, this place is modern and endearing. Worth a visit along the TMB!

Great place. We had a private room with our own bathroom and it was very comfortable. The dinner was good. The check in process was very slow, but otherwise we had a great time.
