Sono andato in occasione di un evento, ma già ero andato a Ca' Matilde in un altra occasione, onestamente non saprei cosa aggiungere alla "Stella" forse più meritata che mi sia mai capitato di incontrare. Non aggiungo altro. La serata prevedeva un concerto jazz ed una selezione infinita di assaggi, finger, con vini di un'ottima cantina marchigiana, rapporto qualità/prezzo impeccabile.

I may be biased, but at Ca' Matilde I feel a bit at home, in a house full of kindness, smiles and excellent food!
Marcella and Nico always welcome us with a big smile and concern, Flavio the Sommelier knows how to make us drink well based on the menus chosen, Andrea and his team take us on a journey of increasingly good and beautiful flavors (Baby S. loves your rice bomb), the rest of the team in the room are always friendly and customer-oriented.
In summer the magic takes over, dinner in the outdoor area overlooking the sunset that slowly disappears behind the hills and what can I say the tour in the vegetable garden is fantastic!
The biodynamic garden is Andrea's jewelery shop, from here ideas and dishes are born and grow!
We love the timeless menu but the other menus have their own reason in every season and are equally delicious!
Depending on the choice of the menu there will be more or fewer courses but to these will be added the entree (I love it), pre dessert (refreshing specifically to cleanse the palate and prepare it for dessert) and finally the pampering to best end the dinner or the lunch!
The place is always cared for down to the smallest detail and also changes according to the season.
Ps. Your millefeuille with custard and strawberries is the best I've ever eaten in my life.

Starred restaurant 10 minutes from Reggio Emilia, a peaceful setting in the first hills of Reggio surrounded by greenery and quiet.
My first experience of a starred restaurant, largely satisfied and truly ecstatic.
At the reception we were invited to visit the dynamic organic garden, with vegetables and aromatic herbs and to enjoy an alcoholic and non-alcoholic aperitif.
We booked the “Oltremare” seafood tasting which I was able to benefit from despite my lactose intolerance and being pregnant.
6 courses of fish and fresh vegetables, every flavor has been enhanced and revisited. Simple and refined combinations at the same time, different textures, contrasts.
All very good, we woke up full (unlike the stories of friends and experiences in starred restaurants) and with pampered palates; a not too formal environment given by dining room staff who put you at ease and at the same time serve you with great attention to detail; everyone was kind and welcoming, starting from the kind and very nice owner with whom we shared our experience as parents 💗.

Last night we experienced Ca’ Matilde for the first time based on a personal recommendation, and it did not disappoint. We chose the vegetable menu and it was simply amazing. I don’t usually post reviews but this was so good I felt compelled to share our experience. Our evening started with a peaceful walk through their beautiful vegetable garden while sipping a glass of Lambrusco. Then we sat on the outside patio and were served the memorable “Hello from the kitchen” — a starter platter of beautiful small bites that were creative and oh-so scrumptious. The courses kept coming and we had difficulty deciding which was our favorite. Each course was unique and beautiful in presentation, and the depth of flavor is difficult to describe here. It became evident early on why it earned a Michelin star rating— it’s a dining experience for the senses.
We want to thank the owner, Marcella, for ensuring we received top notch service the entire time we were there, and compliments once again to Chef Andrea for serving us a meal we will always remember.

...Excellence and originality, love and passion make this place a rare place, which despite being a little difficult to find, when you find yourself there and cross the threshold you are in another world and dimension. The non-triviality of the menu and its interpretation makes you understand the high level you are accessing.
