The man who served us was kind and explained everything very well to us even though we didn't speak Italian. The atmosphere was cheerful and homely. There isn't much seating so be prepared to stand, don't let that put you off this place as it adds a special charm and atmosphere. The price is very fair and the food is delicious, something for everyone. There are also numerous wine and drink options.

A small, authentic restaurant with a great selection of fish dishes. Pasta and meat dishes are also available. Be sure to try the small appetizers from the display case! Everything is fresh and of very high quality. The staff is incredibly friendly and patiently explains everything in detail, even in English. Reasonable prices, friendly staff, and a great selection! Highly recommended! Reservations aren't necessary but are advisable.

The warm cooked ham sandwich with mustard and horseradish is excellent and plentiful, as well as many other appetizers to suit all tastes. The atmosphere is welcoming and the staff are very friendly. A visit is highly recommended.

A real discovery! A double antipasto platter with excellent hot and cold dishes. I was particularly impressed by the double mantecati, the tuna carpaccio, and the monkfish in saor sauce. The first courses were also delicious: we had green gnocchi with sea bass ragù, soft and fragrant with a flavorful sauce, and spaghetti alla carbonara with tuna, out of this world. The tuna had the crispiness of guanciale, yet remained soft and flavorful.
The person who served us was incredibly kind.
When we finally finished, with the homemade Terrano liqueur, we wondered if they could make anything bad... The answer, I think, is definitely not!

If you want to eat excellent quality fish, then this is the place to be.
The owner is incredibly kind, he puts you at ease and kindly explains all the dishes; you can tell he's passionate about his work.
The chef is incredibly skilled.
We enjoyed a fish appetizer that was truly incredible; my wife and I shared it, and we were both satisfied.
I highly recommend the paccheri with octopus; they're truly delicious.
The tiramisu at Bayles is mouth-watering.
The atmosphere is homey and authentic, and that gives this place an extra edge.
I recommend it if you're in Trieste 👍👍👍

Daniela, the chef, runs the open kitchen, and is incredibly fast. Her husband, Max, explains the menu in such a way that makes you want to take it all in.
