The man who served us was kind and explained everything very well to us even though we didn't speak Italian. The atmosphere was cheerful and homely. There isn't much seating so be prepared to stand, don't let that put you off this place as it adds a special charm and atmosphere. The price is very fair and the food is delicious, something for everyone. There are also numerous wine and drink options.

A small, authentic restaurant with a great selection of fish dishes. Pasta and meat dishes are also available. Be sure to try the small appetizers from the display case! Everything is fresh and of very high quality. The staff is incredibly friendly and patiently explains everything in detail, even in English. Reasonable prices, friendly staff, and a great selection! Highly recommended! Reservations aren't necessary but are advisable.

The warm cooked ham sandwich with mustard and horseradish is excellent and plentiful, as well as many other appetizers to suit all tastes. The atmosphere is welcoming and the staff are very friendly. A visit is highly recommended.

A real discovery! A double antipasto platter with excellent hot and cold dishes. I was particularly impressed by the double mantecati, the tuna carpaccio, and the monkfish in saor sauce. The first courses were also delicious: we had green gnocchi with sea bass ragù, soft and fragrant with a flavorful sauce, and spaghetti alla carbonara with tuna, out of this world. The tuna had the crispiness of guanciale, yet remained soft and flavorful. The person who served us was incredibly kind. When we finally finished, with the homemade Terrano liqueur, we wondered if they could make anything bad... The answer, I think, is definitely not! I'll definitely be back 😁

If you want to eat excellent quality fish, then this is the place to be. The owner is incredibly kind, he puts you at ease and kindly explains all the dishes; you can tell he's passionate about his work. The chef is incredibly skilled. We enjoyed a fish appetizer that was truly incredible; my wife and I shared it, and we were both satisfied. I highly recommend the paccheri with octopus; they're truly delicious. The tiramisu at Bayles is mouth-watering. The atmosphere is homey and authentic, and that gives this place an extra edge. I recommend it if you're in Trieste 👍👍👍

Excellent value, generous portions, and a menu that showcases Trieste's traditions with authenticity. An osteria that wins you over with its sincerity: no frills, just good food and a family atmosphere.
20/08/2026: A lovely discovery for us who stop by occasionally: excellent food, impeccable service, friendly service, and a great selection of music. Prices are average. We ordered: stuffed zucchini flowers and burrata, basmati rice with calamari, and potato waffles with caponata and mozzarella. The walnut and fig cream cake is an amazing finale 😱

14/08/2026: A truly excellent experience at Biancospino Trieste. An elegant, well-kept, and very welcoming restaurant with an intimate and pleasant atmosphere. Excellent cuisine, dishes prepared with great care and quality ingredients. The meat is truly spectacular, as is the presentation of the dishes. The staff is extremely kind, professional, and always available to offer advice. A restaurant where quality, service, and ambiance come together perfectly. Highly recommended.
11/08/2026: Amazing food and atmosphere, even more amazing people. If you’re a visitor to the Trieste area this is a must stop spot for great food and a once in a lifetime experience. Great cuts of meat, curated to perfection and deserts that you could remember until the end of your days. Ask to meet Marjan if you’re lucky and he’s in the area for great conversation and if not every one else there is equally great to interact with!
