This is my second time eating at Buffet da Clai in Trieste, and it was another great experience. The food is truly good, with generous portions and excellent value. The wait staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and very attentive. An authentic place that's always worth returning to.

A truly lovely, welcoming, and well-maintained place, but the real star is undoubtedly the food. I had lunch at the buffet today and was pleasantly surprised: everything was excellent, with quality ingredients and great attention to the original and well-thought-out combinations. Every dish is special; you can taste the care and passion behind every preparation. Always happy to return, a guarantee for those who love good food with flavor and refinement. Highly recommended!

21/10/2025: I asked locals where to get good gelato. Most suggested OGGI. I asked the staff for advice on what to pair with chestnut (a seasonal flavor), and they absolutely nailed it! Mascarpone cream + chestnut, truly a top combination.
18/10/2025: The best Tiramisu and Pistachio icecream I have ever had. The rest of the tastes was also delicious, but the tiramisu was wow!

27/09/2025: Very fair prices and excellent quality. Excellent for lunch, fast and very helpful. Highly recommended.
15/09/2025: Very good and generous dishes. I tried the delicious pasta dishes: with mussels in white sauce and with anchovy pesto; excellent. Then the fried sardines...a very generous portion and excellent. The house white wine in a carafe...excellent. Overall, I recommend it.
