13/06/2026: I was at Bonelli's in Imola yesterday.
There were four of us, and we showed up at 7:30 PM to avoid the usual weekend queue.
We ordered
(1 veggie, 1 alarm, 1 special, and 1 classic, if I'm not mistaken) and while we were waiting, I noticed that the meat was being taken from a "small oven" and finished cooking on a griddle. I checked with the cashier, and she confirmed that the meat was precooked to save time.
The sandwiches arrived! Beautiful and fragrant, but the meat was overcooked inside, almost gray in color, and with too much Maillard on the surface. Precooking undoubtedly led to an unnecessary release of the meat's juices and flavors, causing them to remain in the pan. What a shame. At the entrance, they advertised a sandwich with juicy, pink meat, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case.
The sandwiches themselves were inviting and tasty.
Guys, let's face it, the menu isn't free, so if I come here, it's because I hope my expectations are met and fulfilled.
I hope this review isn't taken as a criticism, but as advice to never stop improving.
