On Saturday, I had lunch at Ristorante La Bottegaia with a group of friends and we had a wonderful time.
The food was superb; everything was delicious and made with care. The cuisine is traditional Reggio Emilia, but with a few unique dishes (I ABSOLUTELY recommend the creamed cod).
The woman who served us was kind and friendly throughout the meal.
If you're looking for a well-prepared traditional menu, with a few original ideas, and in a central location in Reggio Emilia, I highly recommend it!

The food was very good. I hadn't been there in years, but it's still a good place in the historic center. It's best enjoyed in the summer months because it's small and cramped inside. Reservations are recommended.

A small but excellent restaurant in Reggio Emilia's busiest square. The restaurant offers a traditional menu with some modern twists, all of which are of the highest quality. Highly recommended for dinners with friends or couples, but not for large gatherings. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, ready to help with choices and offer variations to meet guests' needs. Definitely worth a try.

We organized my boyfriend's birthday party at this restaurant with a terrace in Piazza Fontanesi!
The guys were incredibly kind and helpful in helping me set up the table and cut the cake!
Delicious food and plenty of wine!!

Strolling through the streets of Reggio Emilia, I was seduced by a scent that led me to Bottegaia, a temple of taste and the bane of every diet.
Young Luis, a gentleman of the tables, serves with grace and a smile worthy of a Viennese salon; while Pippo, in the kitchen, performs magic that borders on gastronomic heresy.
I left feeling full, happy, and slightly guilty. But, after all, the sweetest sins are always committed at the table.
