Compliments to Chef Matteo. Excellent cuisine, a refined take on tradition. The fava bean and chicory soup, the typical local pancotto, and orecchiette with turnip greens, all prepared with care and attention to detail, are truly delicious. We'll be back again.

The owner of the hotel at the dolmen where we were staying recommended it to us, and it was a wonderful experience. They seated us in the cave, and we ordered appetizers, which were delicious and unique, with a genuine flavor. Then we ordered pizzas, but we had to stop the waiter from bringing more because he'd already brought so many different types and we were full. The pizza was delicious, with a very light crust. For what we ate, the quality, quantity, and price were truly excellent. I forgot we also had fun with the karaoke. Thanks, we'll be back as soon as we get back.

The lunch was excellent; it truly couldn't have been better. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming: we immediately felt at ease. For anyone wanting to eat in Monte Sant'Angelo, we can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. A big thank you to Matteo and a special thank you to GianMatteo

Beautiful, clean place, with smiling, friendly, and professional staff. Chef Matteo delighted us with homemade pasta, pumpkin crepes that were simply heavenly, like all the first courses, excellent second courses, an appetizer that was already a meal in itself, and homemade desserts worthy of a fine pastry shop. Thank you!

A super cozy pizzeria with a grotto where you can eat. A small beer garden right in the heart of San Angelo. Excellent pizzas and superb service. We'll definitely be back.

Good, typical local food. The service was always friendly. The outdoor veranda could be improved; the fake wood chairs are hard to see, and the tables are unstable. Overall, a great experience, and the lunch certainly lived up to expectations.

We had a wonderful time. Matteo welcomed us warmly and offered us fava beans with chicory and crispy bread. We continued with handmade orecchiette with meat sauce and grilled caciocavallo podolico cheese. To finish, a stuffed wafer and limoncello. Everything was delicious and authentic.

08/07/2026: What a lovely find in Calcinaia. We dined here last night and were impressed by the attention to detail in every single dish. Everything we tasted was excellent. I especially loved the involtini served on a wooden board with that delicate creamy sauce on the side. The presentation is impeccable, and the flavor is truly authentic. 08/07/2026: The dynamic maestro Orazio Chiapparino has accustomed us to constantly expanding horizons. And it's not because he's bored of always doing the same things, but rather, because of his profound knowledge of the subject and the joy of bringing an Experience to the table. We dove headfirst into a six-course tasting menu, from appetizer to dessert, and I must say that in the end, everything was worthy of a memorable dinner. It wasn't just pizzas, but gourmet dishes, refined in their choice of ingredients and presentation. Art in the kitchen: every bite evokes a memory and evokes an emotion. A return to the past through empirical research that serves as a common denominator for the new frontiers of fine dining. I was particularly struck by a dough I've rarely encountered before: sfogliata. A pizza so thin and crispy it resembles a cracker; ideal for enhancing the flavors of light, delicately flavored ingredients. This potentially makes it a low-calorie dish, suitable for those whose dietitian told them pizza was only allowed once a week. Vegans had already been considered, and even celiacs had been considered: do you really think Orazio wouldn't consider making pizzerias accessible to the other 98% of the Italian population? An idea like this deserves a seal of approval. Thanks, and see you next time.
