Bistro Lurati In Porlezza

Our visit to Bistrò Lurati was truly outstanding from a culinary perspective. The dishes were creative, sophisticated, and offered a unique flavor experience. We thoroughly enjoyed both the appetizer and the main course. Unfortunately, we decided against dessert, even though we had been looking forward to it, because the wait times were simply too long. We waited about 20 minutes for the appetizer and then around an hour for the main course. We also had to wait a long time for the bill. Overall, the service seemed very inattentive. This wasn't just our impression; guests at neighboring tables were also frequently sitting and waiting, sometimes barely being acknowledged. It's a real shame, because the food is truly exceptional. It's all the more baffling that the service couldn't keep up with this level of quality.

The food was truly delicious, but there was a shortage of staff, which really defined the evening. The starters and the pasta were outstanding. The children finished their plates of pasta in no time. The staff was also very friendly. When my tenderloin wasn't cooked to the right doneness, it was resolved immediately and properly. Apologies were offered, and I received a new piece without any issues that was perfectly prepared. It is a pity, though, that you end up eating your main course all by yourself. Additionally, the food was served before I had received my wine, and it took a long time to get the staff's attention. It was clear that there was a shortage of staff. We had to ask several times ourselves if we could order something to drink, and ultimately, we skipped dessert because it took too long. It is a shame, because the kitchen and the friendliness of the staff deserve a lot of praise. With better staffing, this would have been a top-notch evening for us. For the price you pay, you expect more.

One of the best restaurants I've ever eaten at! Everything was simply molto bene 🤌🏻🇮🇹 I had the lasagna with chicken, spinach, and melted Grana Padano, and my men had the chicken burger with homemade potato chips—so delicious, and the portions were really big! 👌🏻

Chosen by chance during a stop in Porlezza, this restaurant turned out to be a pleasant discovery. The wagju bresaola was excellent, as were the Iberian pork chops. The staff was friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was very pleasant, with an outdoor terrace overlooking the lake. I highly recommend it.
