Highly recommended for the food, truly excellent—one of the best tartares I've ever eaten, and the rest of the dishes were also of high quality and delicious. Impeccable service and a very kind owner.

You have to look for it because it's just outside the center, but it's really worth it. I had dinner with my family at this restaurant and we had a great time. The service was courteous and friendly from start to finish. The welcome entree included a very welcome bubbly. The dishes were beautifully presented and excellent, both the meat and fish dishes (the octopus was excellent!). Tiramisu for all tastes (we had the classic, 😋). The price was right.

Our experience at this venue was simply extraordinary. Every detail was meticulously considered and contributed to a unique evening. From the moment we entered, we were struck by the perfect sound of the space: no distracting noise, just refined, soft music that accompanied the meal without disturbing, allowing for calm and pleasant conversations with our fellow diners. It was an acoustic experience unlike any other. The furnishings are elegant and refined, with meticulous attention to color and material combinations, immediately conveying a sense of impeccable style and taste. The evening began with a small appetizer and a glass of wine offered by the venue, an unsolicited yet extraordinary gesture that made us feel immediately welcomed and pampered, demonstrating great customer care. During the meal, every detail continued to amaze us: silver cutlery changed with each course, adding charm and elegance, and the excellent quality food, presented with creativity and imagination. Some dishes were served on unique "tiles," whose colors enhanced the dishes and harmonized with the decor, creating a truly spectacular visual and flavorful effect. The location further enhanced the experience: we had a table in a small alcove near a piano, with atmospheric lighting, almost like a small stage, which conveyed refinement and charm. Furthermore, the restaurant is close to the Rossetti Theater, giving the impression of an exclusive setting, frequented by artists and niche clientele, which adds to the overall allure. All this was accompanied by the extraordinary courtesy, professionalism, and kindness of the owner, who waited tables with complicity and attentiveness, while the kitchen, managed by his partner, is extremely well-maintained and family-friendly, making the experience warm and welcoming. Finally, the quality-price ratio is exceptional: similar service and dishes, at other restaurants, would have cost double or even triple. Here, however, everything is offered at a fair price, which highlights quality without overcharging the customer. In short, a place that combines gastronomic excellence, elegance, customer service, and a unique atmosphere. A memorable experience, one we highly recommend and look forward to repeating.

Small but excellent in every way

Impeccable Experience in an Elegant Setting ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I went to Hostaria G. Strehler for a special dinner and I can't recommend it enough! The setting is elegant yet welcoming, with decor that successfully combines class and warmth. The service was impeccable, with the courteous and helpful staff always ready to offer excellent recommendations on dishes and wines. The cuisine is truly a highlight: we started with pappardelle with wild boar ragù, which was exceptional! The fresh pasta and the rich, flavorful ragù immediately won us over. The tagliatelle with truffle was also a must: a simple yet refined dish that truly showcases the flavor of the truffle. For my second course, I opted for the braised beef in Barolo, which was incredibly tender and flavorful, perfect with soft, creamy mashed potatoes. My companion had the beef fillet with green peppercorns and said it was perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor. We couldn't resist the tiramisu for dessert: creamy, well-balanced, with just the right amount of coffee and mascarpone. A perfect way to end the evening. The wine list offers an excellent selection, with a good variety of Italian wines, and the sommelier was very good at recommending the perfect pairing. The price is certainly in line with the quality of the ingredients, the service, and the atmosphere. It's not a cheap restaurant, but for a high-end dinner like this, it was definitely worth it. I highly recommend Hostaria G. Strehler to anyone looking for quality traditional cuisine in an elegant and relaxed atmosphere. Perfect for a special occasion or an evening with friends.

A delightful discovery. I live nearby, but I'm used to the "same old places," so I wasn't aware of this little place. One evening, it was packed, so I looked elsewhere. Given the very positive reviews, I decided to book a table at this restaurant. It's a beautiful, small, and intimate place, with soft lighting and very pleasant background music. The staff are incredibly friendly, the portions are just right, the quality of both fish and meat is superb, and the prices are very reasonable. What can I say? It'll definitely be back among my "same old places"!
