Being from Lucca, I almost never go to the touristy restaurants in the city, but while I was out and about with a friend, we were intrigued by this location, formerly known as Piccolo Mondo, which it still bears that name after changing it from self-service to Bistrot. Even though the prices weren't exactly cheap, we opted to dine there and were satisfied with both the service and the taste and delicacy of the dishes: two very delicate shrimp and zucchini risottos and a broccoli flan and eggplant tart, the taste of which I can still smell in my mouth, very delicious and light... two glasses of red wine and coffee... 78 euros... not a small amount, I'd say perhaps the price of the appetizers was a bit too high given the quantity and the price of the coffee... too exaggerated!!! 2.50, no way...!!! As for the rest, I recommend it for those who don't mind spending.

My first visit was two years ago, when I stumbled upon it one March during a trip to Lucca. A welcoming restaurant with superb dishes. Every detail is presented with care and aesthetics, the flavors of Italy abound, and the kindness is a hallmark. A special thanks to the staff, who made us feel truly pampered this year for my birthday lunch. And to Fabio, a great entertainer. Treat yourself to lunch or dinner at this truly beautiful venue.

We had pizza here, but it was truly disappointing. You expect at least a modicum of quality from a restaurant at this level, but it was nowhere near that. The service wasn't helpful either. The waiter was unfriendly and disinterested. You could tell he didn't want to do his job seriously tonight. Our conclusion: we won't be back. 👎
