I popped in because I wanted to eat Roman home cooking. I had carbonara for lunch, so I asked for other recommendations and it was really delicious!! I had Bolognese and cotoletta! The pasta was cooked and salted to perfection😍It was my first time eating cotoletta, but it was well-cooked and juicy! The atmosphere of the restaurant was good, and I thought it might be a family-run business so there weren't many people, but the landlady and her sister seemed to be considerate of those around them, and I was happy that they came to check on me right away. I wish I could have gone every day, but it's a shame they're closed on Sundays😢I wish I could have gone again. I was craving authentic Roman home cooking, so I decided to walk into this place on a whim—and I’m so glad I did! I had carbonara for lunch, so I asked for something different and ended up with the bolognese and cotoletta. Both were absolutely delicious! The pasta was cooked perfectly—just the right bite and seasoning. It was probably one of the best bologneses I’ve had. The cotoletta was my first time trying it, and even though it was well-fried, it was still juicy inside. Amazing! The atmosphere was cozy, and I think it’s family-run. There weren’t many staff, but the women working there were so attentive and kind—they were always checking in and making sure everyone was taken care of. I really appreciated that warmth. It’s such a shame they’re closed on Sundays—I would’ve loved to go back the next day. Definitely a spot I’d return to if I had the chance! I wonder what their signature carbonara is like — it must be amazing I wanted try it 😢

We rarely go to restaurants not frequented by Italians, but we wanted a quick dinner near Termini for our last night in Rome. I wanted spaghetti with vongole (clams) and prices were inexpensive so we went to Ristorante Santi near our hotel near opening time. The restaurant was almost filled already with Chinese tourists and service was slow. My husband has veal Marsala and we shared a tiramisu. With house wine, water, and coperto, the total was on €39 euros and the food was good for the price.

Grandpa Santei's granddaughter, Julia, was very friendly and we had a great time eating. Both the vegetable soup and the main dish had a gentle flavor and were very delicious. satisfaction!
