Bella Vista In Chiusdino

Staff gentile in un posto dove c è un bel panorama ( il nome della trattoria deriva da questo) cibo buono soprattutto il cinghiale al vino e il pollo ( forse un po’ speziato) però si sono PERSI sul contorno ( patate al forno riscaldate alquanto secche e immangiabili) peccato perdersi per poco. Potevano farle sul momento. Diciamo che è da andarci se i concorrenti del luogo sono chiusi( come è capitato a noi)

We arrived about 1.00pm on a Sunday afternoon and there were a couple of people waiting to be seated. The waitress /owner? suggested that we go for a walk and come back in 15 minutes and they should have room. We contemplated going somewhere else but had already tried to other restaurants which had been fully booked. We followed the advice and came back about 20 minutes later. After a further 10 minute wait we were seated and given menus. It was now 1.30pm. At about 1.45pm the waitress took our order. Couldn't have bruschetta as they didn't have any tomatoes. We ordered a shared antipasto platter (EUR18), which was good, and roast chicken (EUR14) with sides of roast potatoes and cooked vegetables (EUR4 each). The main meals came at about 2.30pm and it appeared that the chicken had been cooking for hours - it was tough and almost inedible. Wine list was OK but we had a carafe of the house red. The service was friendly enough but exceedingly slow, notwithstanding that it was very busy. We ended up paying and leaving at 3.00pm (which time was marked on our bill).
