Fantastic tagliata sandwich (hence the 4-star rating), but not tourist friendly at all. We had to wait for 45 minutes until we received our order.

Had lunch today with our cousin Lello and his wife Silvia... wonderful place, food with typical recipes from Bari, nothing short of exquisite, Nicola and his mother Anna were friendly and welcoming, we highly recommend it, we couldn't find a fault with anything... thank you so much for everything... we're returning to Venice with a unique and unforgettable culinary experience, and thanks to Lello who offered us lunch

Completely won over by this family-run Braceria. A wonderful family that definitely makes the best sandwiches in Bari Vecchia. Fresh meat. Perfectly cooked. Excellent service. I'll try to return as soon as possible. Thank you ♥️ for what you do.

Osteria La Porta del Levante

20/04/2026: Very friendly staff, helpful and professional. You also get good value for money. I am not giving a 5 for the food because I chose fish and was not convinced of its freshness. It was sticky, didn't smell very fresh, and fell completely apart. Since I didn't get sick from it, I am not sure if it was me or the fish ;-) The mussels and other seafood my table companions had were super tasty and fresh, though. We also moved on a bit faster because it was very noisy inside and everyone was sitting very close together. Maybe do something about the acoustics?

06/04/2026: Excellent location on the Apulian Murge, excellent food with local dishes, they need to work on the waiting staff, our table was attended to by several waiters
