Barrier In Bergamo

We really like this place, we love it when we come to Bergamo! It's beautiful, always clean and tidy, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and above all, kudos to the red-haired waitress, who's super knowledgeable about all the drinks and very helpful. The drinks and appetizer selection are very wide! It remains our favorite in the whole city ☺️

The venue's elegant decor makes the prices a bit more expensive. €10 per drink is quite steep, but it makes up for it with the atmosphere and the friendly, helpful service. I ordered four drinks: Alina, Coco Beach, Spring Punch, and Alps Side. All were good; the first two were sweet, the next two were sour. They tasted really great and were exquisite; you could feel the alcohol's flavor enhancing the flavor of the added ingredients. The service was really friendly, spoke English fluently, and was great.

RECOMMENDED. BUT... Let me start by saying that the interior, including the bathrooms, is beautiful and super clean. The exterior, directly overlooking the square, is very pleasant and the furnishings are adequate, including the umbrellas that provide shade. The staff is knowledgeable, prompt, and very friendly. On the other hand, the aperitivo is a bit SAD: the Campari Spritz, while good, is served in ugly glasses, not in keeping with the beauty of the place. The accompanying plate is even worse. Two sandwich triangles, two small slices of pizza, and two tiny meatballs. Okay, I understand that €8 for a cocktail is a bit low, but in my opinion, peanuts and chips should be the default. You shouldn't force me to order the tagliolini, especially since I might be going to dinner later. There should be something right to accompany the drink. This isn't a criticism, just a suggestion!

An excellent cocktail bar in the center of Bergamo, where you can enjoy expertly prepared signature drinks. The atmosphere is youthful and reminiscent of a private club.

A wonderful dinner and drinks experience at Barrier! The cocktails lived up to the rave reviews, thanks to a delicate, carefully crafted balance of aromas and flavors. We were also delighted with the food, from the special sharing platter to the signature dishes (the tagliata was excellent and the casoncelli were delicious). We sat at the outdoor tables, enjoying the tranquil setting before taking a stroll around Bergamo Bassa.

We decided to celebrate our wedding at the Barrier, also because of its convenient and central location near the town hall. Mauro advised us professionally, and his staff was attentive and kind in accommodating our every request. The buffet service was excellent, and the bar was at our complete disposal. Thanks to a wonderful, sunny April day, our wedding was certainly unforgettable.
