Bar Tambellini In Lucca

Good traditional restaurant. Loved the decor, like stepping into a 1915 inn. Open at lunch! Which I love :) Not too many items on the menu, but vegetarian options are present. My party had lamb, carpaccio, tortellini, bietola and chickpeas, all quite nice. Carpaccio was best, good quality. Prices are a bit on the high side. All in all, nice ambiance and attentive service (a careful young waitress was attending on us, but I must also say that the restaurant was almost empy, maybe because it was a tuesday at lunch).

Yesterday I had lunch with friends at Tambellini, we had a great time, the food was delicious, as was the service, the staff and even the atmosphere, which was very well looked after down to the smallest details, you have to try it because it's worth it.

Excellent restaurant with a good quality menu, a welcoming and unique atmosphere, a journey back in time. We tried tordelli, garden soup with squid, and testaroli, their specialty. The flavors are different from the usual dishes, worth trying. Prices are reasonable for the type of dishes, 30-40.

This is a diamond on the inside but you wouldn't know it from its unassuming facade on the street. Whether sitting at a linen dressed table with intimate lighting in one of the dining rooms or sitting out under the vining arches in the garden, during the warmer months; you will be sure to enjoy your meal from a handwritten menu with a nice selection of options. They offer a large wine selection, full bar, and they are also open most mornings to pop in for your colazione!

We visited this restaurant last month. The atmosphere was very pleasant, and the welcome was unexceptional. The food, considering three portions of tagliolini with truffle shavings and three bottles of wine, cost €35 each, was far from what we paid for. The rest of the food, which wasn't excellent, was completely out of character. Furthermore, not all of our requests were met, as many items, such as desserts and side dishes, were sold out. Furthermore, some of us had to wait over 30 minutes, more or less, for the second courses. Considering we spent about €75 each, we weren't entirely satisfied. Perhaps we chose the wrong restaurant...

We had been recommended this restaurant by a friend and decided to give it a try. Like so many great eating experiences in Italy, there is little indication from the outside how good the food and service is in the cosy interior. If you are in the area, it is well worth a try.

Wonderful One of the best restaurants I've ever eaten at.

We had lunch here and had an incredible experience. We arrived a little prior to opening time but they were gracious and went ahead and seated us. Owner was nice and came over and explained the menu to us. We were seated on the back patio which was lovely. Food was delicious and our overall experience was absolutely perfect. Best meal and ambiance so far of our time in Lucca.
