Comment expliquer ? Un petit restaurant perché en haut de la colline, dans un petit hameau très accueillant.
Une patronne souriante qui vous sert à table comme à la maison.
Et il y a du cerf du chevreuil, de la polaire et plein d’autres spécialités locales. Vous l’avez compris n’hésitez pas.

Fantastic tasting, typical, home-made food! Il Spezzatino di manzo con Polenta is delicious, the fried cheese is sinfully delicious. 😋

Excellent food, welcoming environment. Not a lot of variety on the menu, but perhaps that's a strong point: what there is is truly excellent. Excellent food, welcoming environment. An institution for many, both valley residents and tourists.
I'll tell you an anecdote: years ago an office colleague told me she was going for a weekend with friends up in the Agordino area and asked me for a place to go for lunch. I advised her to go to the Rif, to Carla. Well, they were so satisfied that a month later, with other friends, they went specifically to Agordo, from Treviso, to eat executioner's toda and deer.

Una cena memorabile, siamo stati in questo ristorante per una cena dopo una giornata in pista e che dire.. è stata una esperienza fantastica, gli spezzatini di cervo e di capriolo si scioglievano in bocca, e poi mai mangiata una polenta così buona.. il personale molto attento, disponibile e cortese. Se passate da queste parti dovete assolutamente fermarvi in questa locanda rustica e accogliente. Consiglio vivamente il menù degustazione storico, con soli 30 € a persona potrete provare i piatti tipici della tradizione, fidatevi!!! Ne vale assolutamente la pena!! Anche il dolce buonissimo.. non ve ne pentirete! Do 5 stelle solo perché non me posso dare di più!

On January 11, 2025 we returned to Rif, to Carla's restaurant. Beyond the emotional reasons that bind us to this place, to Eva, who manages the restaurant in an attentive and professional way (we have known her since she was little) and to her family, we always gladly return for the menu, faithful to tradition and cooked in an equal, but not surpassable way!
Added value is the restaurant, renovated with attention to the whole and to the details. The service is also excellent.
Mrs. Carla came to greet us with the usual welcome.

A restaurant that I highly recommend, excellent typical dishes from the platter of mixed cold cuts with cheeses to dessert. The first courses and the homemade polenta served piping hot are also excellent. Prices normal. I'll be back.

Nice menu and well prepared food, even if some dishes didn't totally meet my taste, especially regarding the roe deer and the desserts. Service a little slow, reservation recommended. Characteristic and welcoming place. Clean bathrooms. Prices not cheap.
