We found it by chance and read the many positive reviews, piquing our curiosity. We ate wonderfully: delicious and generous walnut tortelloni, followed by a portion of gnocco fritto and tigelle with cured meats, pickles, and cheeses. We couldn't finish them, partly because we needed to leave a hole for the delicious fried cream, which was just right, along with two slices of watermelon. What can we say? Everything was fantastic, and the waiter was incredibly kind, quick, and helpful. We'll definitely be back because the menu is varied and very interesting.

The food is always spectacular, the waiter is very friendly and Argentinian. He recommended the Fernandito to us at the end of the meal. Give him the raise he deserves. 🤣

A nice, well-decorated trattoria with good food. There's no printed menu at all, so we struggled to order. Waiting 30 minutes for the final bill doesn't seem appropriate. They need younger, more lively staff.

I found this place to be exceptional in every way. The cuisine, traditional in its essence and generous in its portions, offers a delightful dining experience. The owners and staff are extremely kind and friendly, even surprising me. Easy to get to and with ample parking. Nothing more could you ask for for a lunch with friends or family.

Excellent clean restaurant, very kind staff available with the customer, quality products, very fresh environment I recommend it to everyone I think I will return and recommend it to friends and relatives.

Capitati su indicazioni di un vinaio, ampio ristorante di vecchio stampo, dove l atmosfera è deliziosa, il personale di una gentilezza d altri tempi ti rende il pasto un momento di vero relax. Il cibo fatto in casa con lo stesso amore con cui ti viene servito. Tagliatelle al ragù buonissime come i tortelloni. La carne alla griglia di ottima qualità...crecentine e salumi davvero ottimi. Tutto abbondante non ti alzi certo con il pancino vuoto...anzi con il pancione! Grazie per questa esperienza che é stata molto più di un pasto!!! Da ritornare per i sapori e le persone.

Se vuoi mangiare molto bene non c’è posto migliore per cucina tradizionale. Tortellini e tortelloni fenomenali, crema fritta, … Vale i km fatti per arrivarci visto che arrivavo da Bologna.

Ristorante Il Calcagnino

21/06/2025: For a wedding lunch. Food, service and environment are all ok. For the rest, the newlyweds who contacted the restaurant were asked to pay for everything in advance and here I would already have something to say, but they are young and in a particular period and accepted so that's it. After that they were presented with an extra for 30 bottles of wine at €20 each, even 20 would have been a lot. They took advantage of it a TOTAL. In order not to find anything to say and to end everything in the best way, the guys PAID and THAT'S IT. THEY DIDN'T MAKE A GREAT FIGURE, what you deserve is ok beyond.......... We also work with word of mouth but in this case BYE. Even for a wedding, money doesn't rain from the sky. Anyway, good work to Calcagnino.
19/06/2025: What more could you want..... Extraordinary food, top quality raw materials cooked with skill. Kind, prepared and smiling staff. Location? A CASTLE!!!!!!! The bill is certainly not low..... But deserved! When you give so much.... It is right to be paid adequately!!! Bravissimi!
