I've been going there for at least 45 years. A historic Milanese bar near the Crocetta metro station. Delicious sandwiches. It's also a tobacconist.

Could not dream up a better experience for my first night in Milan. The servers? Helpful and friendly. The vibe? Cozy, warm, just right. The chips? Cute and crisp. The Negroni? Perfect. And the sandwich? Oh my God, the sandwich! I don’t recall the name, but it had Praga ham, anchovies, thinly sliced lime (!!!), and mozzarella (they were out of strachiatella which would have made it next level good). The bread was also the perfect texture and flavor. I dream of returning!

This is a historic place. I'd read they make excellent sandwiches, and since I love them, I wanted to try them. My expectations were met! Wide selection, quality ingredients, and my sandwich (Temptation: Valtellina flake, herb cream cheese, and cognac 😉) was delicious—see photo—I'd definitely try them all! Organized service and friendly staff—it's worth it!

A good business model: great sandwiches to draw you in, uncomfortable seating to get you out. The beer selection is unexceptional, but the client mix suggests they're doing something right. A place for when you need to eat and move on.

10/04/2026: One of the best places to enjoy fish, both raw and cooked. Excellent prawns, oysters, and an unforgettable pasta e fagioli. If you want, there's also excellent pizza; the price isn't cheap, but the quality and freshness of the fish are extraordinary. Update The location has also been renovated; it's modern, relaxing, and well-kept. Spectacular upgrade for the raw fish; the grilled prawns are also excellent. Today, in addition to the usual raw prawns, there are two spectacular first courses and three Delta oysters (very sweet).
