19/06/2026: I stumbled upon this pastry shop by chance about a month ago because I had to go to a doctor's office in the area, and after traveling all night on the bus from Calabria, I felt the need to freshen up and change. They were very accommodating in letting me use the bathroom (comfortable, clean, and fully equipped, including a changing table) even before I had a drink, which came later with an excellent coffee and a delicious maritozzo! Today I'm going back for a doctor's checkup, and now this pastry shop is my regular stop... I wasn't able to have the maritozzo anymore, but I did have an excellent coffee... and then I even had a cappuccino, thanks to the kindness of the barista who checked that the soy milk was low in carbohydrates, and I must say they use Alpro, not a discount soy milk! The cappuccino was delicious and beautiful! The cashier and the girl serving were also very kind. It will be a regular stop for me even if I won't be able to enjoy all the delicious things on display! Well done! Quality and kindness!
10/04/2026: It was one of my go-to pastry shops in Rome's Laurentina/Eur area...excellent cappuccino, croissants, and mini pastries! The atmosphere is welcoming and refined, also ideal for enjoying tea with friends. Lately, however, I've noticed a systematic decline in the quality of the desserts. The peak was on Easter Monday morning when I bought two pastieras (regardless of the price, I think it was €36/kg). They were definitely made with fresh ingredients, as they're usually made for these occasions, but they were quite dry. Let's just say the guests weren't very happy with them...
Now I don't know if the management has changed or if the pastry chef has changed, but that's not how it should be. Years ago, Tornatora was synonymous with quality.
