We had just arrived at this magical corner of the Amalfi Coast and decided to visit @donna.cleila. From the outside, we were enveloped by the atmosphere, the views, and the unique energy of the place. But upon entering, we discovered so much more: history, family unity, pride, and truly exceptional service. We had the honor of dining with the founder and his son, who today keep the tradition alive with passion and love. Being there reminded me that working with the public is an art that can only be mastered when done from the heart, when you go that extra mile that makes all the difference. They made us feel unique; they even had the lovely detail of playing music from our country 🎶❤️ An experience I will cherish and recommend to everyone who visits.

Had drinks and lite snacks in the afternoon. The extremely warm hospitality of the owner was remarkable and if you are interested in the background of the family-run business (and the story of Marina Praiano) you will enjoy his stories.

We are often here and compare restaurants and food. Donna Clelia is by far the best option in the Marina di Praia - and everywhere😍. Sensational food. Prices are typical 'Amalfitana'...

This is the pick of the surprisingly plentiful options in this tiny location (about five restaurants here). I am a little reluctant to tell the world about Marina di Praia, and Bar Mare (Donna Clelia) and risk spoiling it - but I’ll let you in on a secret…this is the jewel of the Amalfi Coast - all the benefits without the crowds. From the first time we came to this restaurant (over 10 years ago) Salvatore made us feel like family. Crayfish his friend caught, beans and chillies from his father’s garden. His family and his staff eat in the restaurant (I’d actually like a job here !!!). The staff are wonderful and friendly. The food is original - a lot of dishes are Donna Clelia’s original recipes, including the amazing bread. The menu is not extensive, just good dishes made well. Love this place, love this restaurant and the people. Will be back every time we visit Italy. Ciao Salvatore, family and staff.

Everything was perfect, a wonderful location just a stone's throw from the sea. We ate wonderfully, the food was fantastic, everything was very good, and the service was great, the guys were very professional and helpful.

Mi sono trovata per caso in questo posto meraviglioso e ho deciso di mangiare qualcosa scegliendo a caso il donna Clelia. I ragazzi dello staff sono meravigliosi, educati, professionali, molto attenti e soprattutto simpatici. Il cibo tutto molto buono e servito in modo molto elegante. Ho preso il menù di degustazione e n' è valsa veramente la pena. Il prezzo molto onesto (ALLA PORTATA DI TUTTI) anche perché in questi posti, trovare prezzi onesti è quasi impossibile. Il proprietario Salvatore, molto alla mano e cordiale. Ci ritornerò sicuramente.

Paramos aquí para un almuerzo no planeado cuando desembarcamos en el puerto deportivo en el camino de regreso de Positano. Fue absolutamente encantador! Una vista tan bonita con vistas a la playa. La comida y limoncello spritz era delicioso y el servicio tan amable. Al final nos dieron ensalada de frutas de cortesía, limoncello y meloncello! Todo inesperado pero muy encantador. Fue tan agradable pasar algún tiempo aquí. Muy recomendable.

26/10/2025: In May, my wife and I spent a few wonderful days in Alghero, and we visited the "Ristorante di Pesce Il Pavone" twice – and for good reason: The family-run restaurant is just a few minutes from the city center, easily accessible either on foot from the harbor or directly by car with parking on site. Upon entry, we were warmly welcomed by the owner himself and given equally competent advice. What was particularly nice was that he later returned to each table to personally check on each guest's well-being – this hospitality and warm socializing are truly exceptional. His daughter also works in the business, which further underlines the authentic, family-like atmosphere. Their passion for what they do is palpable and permeates the entire experience. The service was always friendly, attentive, and courteous – we never had to wait long. The restaurant impresses with its cozy, clean, and tidy ambiance. The menu is clear and offers a high-quality selection without seeming overly opulent. We particularly enjoyed the grandmother's traditional dish, which has always been on the menu – a beautiful piece of culinary family history! The wine list is wonderfully matched to the fish dishes. We were delighted with every single dish: fresh antipasti, homemade pasta, market-fresh fish, and sophisticated desserts – all a true taste experience and definitely not frozen. Whether inside or outside – there is plenty of comfortable seating, perfect for couples and smaller groups. Reservations are recommended, especially in the evenings. The prices are high, but absolutely reasonable given the quality; the value for money is excellent. For us, "Il Pavone" was one of the highlights of our stay – a wonderful memory that we will certainly look back on fondly. Highly recommended – we will definitely be back!
