Bar Della Maddalena In Roma

We were here in the summer of 2024. We were strolling around the square and the waiter invited us into the restaurant, saying that if we didn't like the food, we didn't have to pay. I thought I'd joke about not liking the food, but the carbonara was so delicious that I decided to write a review about it. I've had carbonara elsewhere since, but nowhere was it as delicious as at Clemente alla Maddalena.

This place was a wonderful surprise! We stumbled upon it while walking to the Trevi Fountain. Since it was a holiday, they were about to close, but the waiter very kindly offered to serve us. We sat down for drinks, and they brought us chips and peanuts. We never felt pressured by any of the staff, and the drinks were excellent! When I return, I'll definitely try the food too. So grateful for the service! The place is truly beautiful, and there was a man playing an instrument in the street—it was very romantic!

A historic Roman restaurant, well-cooked dishes and a more than pleasant atmosphere. Prices are obviously slightly higher than average, but you pay for the location and quality.

Good restaurant, all the fish dishes are well-prepared. I was afraid it would be too touristy, but no... worth remembering. A little pricey... but that's to be expected at the Pantheon.
