Delicious food, very kind owners, simple and informal atmosphere, fair prices!

this was the best meal we had in Bologna. the Co-owner / cook came out to talk with us a couple of times, helped us order something special. Would love to go back.

Great family owned restaurant. The food was brilliant, genuine home-made, local Italian cuisine. The staff were polite and friendly. Great atmosphere, we felt like home. It was silent and they had no problem fitting us with out baby stroller. I will definitely go there again. We had tortellini, tagliatelle with ragu. Meals are around 10-12€.

Excellent ready-made dishes prepared especially for you. Daily specials are always available, and dishes can be prepared upon request. Excellent traditional and innovative cuisine. Perfect first courses and a wide variety of meat-based main courses. A self-service vegetable buffet and much more. Plus, desserts prepared by the owner.

Under the arcades of Via Saragozza, you're spoiled for choice when it comes to stopping for a good meal. We finally chose Bar Margherita, and I'd say it was a great experience. Three different first courses, all very good (as pictured), and the porcini mushrooms, especially, were delicious and generously portioned...you can sense the cook's passion, and that's usually enough to make the difference. The meat-based second courses were good, especially the beef, the roast beef was perfectly cooked, and the carpaccio was also good. The house wine (red) was also very much appreciated. I would definitely return.

Bar Margherita - we had lovely wine and food from here. The couple that run the bar as re very friendly and welcoming. They put a lot of love and care into what they do. I very much enjoyed my time.

And as is so often the case, it's the small restaurants outside the center that you stumble upon by chance. Although "small" doesn't quite fit the word; it's just inconspicuous from the outside. I had the best ragù here on the last day of my week-long trip to Emilia-Romagna, and for a whopping €10. Add to that the friendly service—I suspect it was the owners themselves. They even gave me free tips on how to make it at home. ;) Thank you so much!
