After two weeks traveling far and wide across north-eastern Sicily (the whole thing between Tindari and Catania and extended towards Ragusa Ibla) and multiple tastings everywhere, on the very last day and returning towards the embarkation point I found the best of absolutely all of them. A granita of unspeakable creaminess: I highly recommend the ricotta and almond mix with brioscia.

What better welcome as soon as you "landed" in Sicily! Excellent granita, with artisanal cream and fresh orange-flavoured brioches! Very kind staff, they'll keep an eye on your luggage if you consume in the adjoining room!

Currently one of the best granitas in Messina, a real poem! Mastery in preparing the "brioscia" and the rest. Friendly, smiling and very helpful staff. Returning to Caffè dello Stretto is returning home. Conditioned room and a few tables outside, as soon as you get off the ferry, an obligatory stop. The prices are a little higher but you pay for the high quality!

More than excellent service. All the staff were very friendly. My husband, who is English, wanted the ultimate Sicilian granita and they made him a mix of different fresh fruit to try. The right spot to visit! In the calm, side street nearby the train station. Tasty meals. I could choose what I want to have on my plate. Full of Italians during the lunch-time. Toilets are clean and tidied up. Staff behaves accommodating. Their English is not best but sufficient to understand what I wanted. Knowing at least bit of Italian is an advantage. Prices are reasonable.
