A place for people who are looking for Italianness in Italy. Delicious and large portions of food, but apart from that, the owner tries to get her husband and son to work and they let everything go in one ear and out the other. Scenes like from a movie :)

In attesa di entrare nei Musei Vaticani, ci siamo imbattuti per caso in questa caffetteria... Siamo stati subito "travolti" dalla simpatia della proprietaria, ma non solo: dolci gustosissimi e buonissimi fatti in casa, caffè ottimo e tantissimo altro! Excelente comida. Excelente servicio. Recomiendo encarecidamente este lugar. La carbonara está deliciosa. Está fuera de los caminos trillados y no muy ocupado pero muy delicioso

Outstanding! We had cacio e pepe, amatriciana, carbonara and lasangna. All wonderful! The owner Ornella was very and welcoming. Highly recommend!

Bar Café Fantini is a hidden gem. The coffee is really good and the food is even better. I highly recommend the cacio e pepe and the lasagna, although the carbonara and amatriciana were also splendid. The service was spectacular. The owner Ornella is a lively and warm Italian who goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Hope I can come back the next time I return to Rome.
