A charming place for delicious, strong coffee and something sweet. The tiramisu is delicious! A truly Italian atmosphere 😊 The staff is very friendly and speaks excellent English.

Balzer is pure Bergamo history. Since 1850, you walk in and immediately understand why it's still a go-to place: an elegant Art Nouveau setting, fast and professional service, and mouth-watering window displays. The pastry shop is top-notch. Perfect mini pastries, cannoncini with a cream that tastes like vanilla, and the Donizetti cake is a surefire way to make a good impression. The gelato is also worth it: creamy, with classic flavors made just right. Cappuccino and brioche for breakfast are a ritual, with a buttery pastry you won't find everywhere else. The only drawback: the prices. It's more expensive than the average in Bergamo. A sit-down breakfast will set you back over €6, and the pastries per kilo are quite expensive. You're paying for the central location, the name, and 170 years of history. In short, if you want quality, atmosphere, and a traditional treat, Balzer is definitely worth its 5 stars. If you're looking for a low price, it's not the place for you. For a special occasion or to indulge in the city center, it remains unbeatable. Highly recommended

Top quality ice cream, very good! Congratulations! Today I tried the Orobic Spring and Blueberry and Elderberry flavor. I'll be back to try the other flavors.
