The place is a bit dated and could use a makeover. The veranda has been given a touch of color with ceiling drapes, colorful chairs, and glasses. The menu is extensive and well-stocked, with plenty of choice. We stopped for a quick lunch, sampling only the mountain gnocchi, which were tasty and not drowned in butter.

We came in for lunch. 2 first courses: mountain gnocchi, never seen so small. They looked like passatelli, but overall they were fine. Bigoli with wild boar ragù were bigoli in bianco with chunks of wild boar thrown on top (dry as hell). It seems like whoever made these bigoli had never tasted wild boar in their life. We had also ordered a second course, but when the young waiter cleared the table, he clearly forgot to start the second courses... after almost an hour we left... it's a shame the owner was kind and the ingredients were good, but the execution in the kitchen and organization in the dining room were lacking.

The food is excellent and inexpensive! The outdoor veranda is very basic... The mountain gnocchi with smoked ricotta and walnut and fig cake are highly recommended! Three first courses, three desserts, three coffees, a liter of water, half a liter of wine, a Coke, three complimentary liqueurs, €65. Perfect for an escape from the stifling heat of Mantua. It was 32 degrees Celsius here, and 22 degrees Celsius here...not the same!

Nice restaurant that I have visited for the third time now, is always worth a motorcycle stop but they could invest a little more in the substance, my impression is that it is increasingly decaying

31/03/2025: era da un po' che volevo provare questa gelateria e ci siamo fermati a fare merenda io e mio marito. abbiamo assaggiato il gusto american dream che è alle arachidi con granella di cioccolato. b u o n i s s i m o e aggiungo finalmente un gelato alle arachidi che sa da arachidi.. io poi ho assaggiato anche il cioccolato fondente, s u p e r b o. ho visto poi tanti altri prodotti (tipo i gelati sullo stecco) che mi ispiravano, prossima volta magari. l'unico "neo", che non mi impedisce di dare però il massimo, è il fatto che non ci siano gusti senza lattosio (o almeno io non li ho visti). è un po' un peccato secondo me, io sono intollerante al lattosio e ho risolto prendendo le pastiglie specifiche e amen, però magari un altro avrebbe cambiato posto

19/09/2025: I'd never been there before, it was for a relative's birthday. I had a great meal, the portions were just right, and the service was excellent and always smiling. I highly recommend it!
