We had dinner this evening in this restaurant which was recommended to us by the b&b where we are guests. The location is splendid, the service was excellent as was the style of table setting and everything we ate was delicious and well looked after. The prices, for us who live on Lake Garda, are normal. The lady who welcomed us called us to make sure we were finding parking and at the end of dinner she offered us desserts. Highly recommended for us and we will certainly return if we plan another holiday in the area.. Thank you and congratulations again for your professionalism.

We had dinner at Bacciomeo last night. Very atmospheric location, frescoed room with a huge chandelier Let's get to the food: excellent and plentiful Tuscan starter, three of you can eat it! Quality cured meats, good croutons Then I got the fried rabbit and stuffed guinea fowl and goose: well done, the guinea fowl is the best for me. Good choice of local and non-local wines To close: a place to recommend Good prices

Price/quality ratio at the highest levels in the area. Obviously it is not a cheap restaurant, but a very refined and elegant environment, the customer is looked after well and the cuisine is of a high standard, without tiny portions. The prices are adequate for the quality of what you eat. There is no parking nearby, you have to walk about 500m to a large car park.

Splendid and very well looked after environment. I liked what we ate, the portions are a little gourmet, but the chef's hand is definitely excellent. Average price for Tuscany: we took two first courses, a portion of fried mushrooms, two desserts, water, a glass of wine, spending around sixty euros. Courteous and fast staff.

A wonderful restaurant nestled in a cozy town. We enjoyed our experience and found the food to be vibrant, the staff to be welcoming (we have a 1 year old baby), and the space to be clean and cozy. We had delicious pasta and a very flavourful duck breast. I would recommend this to all those coming to Palaia!

Una de las comidas más memorables de mi vida. Definitivamente volviendo. Tuvimos 9 (sí nueve!!!!!) cursos. Lo mejor fue el servicio con sus corazones en él que solo se obtiene en Italia. Sentías que la gente que trabajaba allí disfrutaba de su trabajo y desde el fondo de sus corazones, sin importar el dinero, querían que los comensales se divirtieran. Luego está el contexto. Los murales y candelabros masivos - de buen gusto y en contexto. Sientes que has caminado por toda Francia (¡o la Toscana!) y que te han invitado a comer con los Reyes en su Palacio. Y por supuesto, finalmente, la comida. Produjeron un vino diferente para muchos de los platos - y podíamos chapotear tanto como quisiéramos. Estuvimos allí en Nochevieja, y las cuatro horas pasaron en un instante con cada vez más cursos. A menudo he trabajado fuera de casa y tengo 69 años, así que tristemente / felizmente he pasado muchas noches en restaurantes de todo el mundo lejos de la familia. Este fue uno de los mejores (si no el!) La noche se completó con viajes fuera del restaurante para disfrutar de los fuegos artificiales de Año Nuevo. Fuimos a dar largos paseos por el campo los siguientes días (está en una zona encantadora), pero no pude salir de la maravillosa comida - que tomó todo enero. No tuve que comer 9 platos después de todo. Pero lo haría de nuevo - defo!

07/05/2025: The pizza was delicious, the dough was really good and light. The environment is also nice but it's really too noisy, you couldn't hear each other when you spoke. The prices are a little high given that for a pizza less than around €10, you don't spend it, but given the quality and goodness it can be okay. For two pizzas and two soft drinks we spent €35. The service was fast and efficient.
30/04/2025: Tried both pizza and burgers! Highly recommended!

La Sosta dei Cavalieri

14/04/2025: After three restaurants with no availability for a free table on a Friday night; in via S. Frediano we found a semi-empty restaurant and we entered without checking the menu posted outside (currently occupied by a couple of tourists); the decor was "minimalist" and with the tables without tablecloths and cutlery, it gave us "the idea of ​​a trattoria" and with the very kind welcome, we sat down anyway. After a welcome tasting with polenta and toppings to enrich the flavor; the menus were divided into 3 variants; fish, or meat or vegetarian with a fixed cost of € 50 and for both (two diners) it had to be the same. Undecided due to our different tastes, we opted for the 4th menu "à la carte" (more choice) but with prices decidedly above average (a lot) and we decided, as per our preference, for a starter and a second course; Grilled artichokes for both of us and "beef on carbon" for me and "pigeon 360°" for her; from the meticulous presentation of the dishes, we had confirmation that it was not a "simple Osteria" but a high-level "Gourmet Restaurant" (I would say from the portions and the culinary display, "almost starred"). The "360° pigeon with pumpkin and chocolate" was served in four different courses and with particular flavors that left you speechless; exceptional tagliatelle with pigeon sauce and macaron with pigeon paté and chocolate. When the "pigeon in salmì" arrived, I was served the "beef with carbon", covered with a thin slice of Cinta Senese rump; extraordinary softness and flavor of the meat, accompanied by a potato puff pastry with a salad of wild herbs. Very elaborate dishes (very) and with a taste never tasted before and unfortunately, for me, of "insufficient quantity" to feel completely satisfied. The introduction of the dessert, of the "almond and thallus ice cream" was meticulous and instructive (as for the previous dishes to enhance the seasonally available raw materials); I have never heard a mâitre discuss in great detail the provenance of the products for a dessert and I perceived a real passion for this presentation. A new culinary experience that we appreciated and to end in style, seeing the "most expensive coffee in the world" on the menu, I said to myself why not?!; I had seen "kopi luwak" coffee years ago on a TV documentary and curiosity pushed me to taste it [for those who do not know it; to obtain Civet coffee, the beans are ingested and evacuated by the Luwak (Indonesian name for this small animal). It is a small civet that lives in the Indonesian forests, whose gastric enzymes are able to give the coffee an incomparable, chocolatey aroma and an unparalleled body]. Well!, unfortunately my palate was not able to perceive such an aroma but it is an experiment that I could not miss; like tasting a glass of Sassicaia in Bolgheri and not feeling a difference with a red wine from Montalcino that I prefer regardless, compared to the first. Despite the expensive cost of the dinner, we had a great time and I certainly recommend this restaurant for lovers of true culinary art, after all quality has its price ...
26/03/2025: Caminando una noche tuvimos la suerte de encontrar este lugar. Servicio muy atento y me encantó el menú! Mucha gente hizo el menú degustación alrededor de 5 platos que se veían increíbles, pero tuvimos un almuerzo muy tarde, así que dividimos un montón de aplicaciones y entradas. Fue tan inventivo y delicioso. Chill vibra y el personal tiene como objetivo complacer! ¡Definitivamente pruébelo!
