I had dinner at Babeuf on Saturday evening with my partner and it was a very pleasant surprise.
The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the decor ranges from homey to retro, with a touch of whimsy (e.g., the bicycle hanging on the wall), all of which blend together beautifully.
The menu is interesting and intriguing.
We ordered several dishes (all delicious and unique), such as the hummus and the chicken with chinichurri and friggitelli peppers, but honorable mention goes to the beef tartare (served with cherries, hazelnuts, and herring mayonnaise) and the mascarpone and pistachio cream.
Excellent service: attentive, friendly, and precise from start to finish.
The quality/price ratio is excellent, verging on excellent (considering these days, when a simple tagliolini with shrimp can cost up to €22).
A great discovery, highly recommended, I'll definitely be back.

I had an incredible dining experience at Babeuf in Cagliari. The atmosphere is
cozy, intimate, and full of character—exactly the kind of place where you want to slow down and enjoy every bite.
The grilled octopus and grilled sardines were absolute standouts—perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and clearly made from high-quality, fresh ingredients. The meatballs were rich and satisfying, a comforting contrast to the lighter seafood dishes.
What really elevated the evening was the selection of natural/bio wines. The staff was happy to recommend some bottles, and the natural wine they chose was spot on—fresh, complex, and perfect.
Service was relaxed but knowledgeable, and you can tell the team truly cares about what they’re serving.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for something authentic, creative, and deeply satisfying. I’ll definitely be back!

We tried the beef tartare, spaghettoni con le sarde, and lattuga arrosto—all absolutely delicious with amazing flavour profiles. I also had the sardines as a main, which weren’t quite to my taste, though that’s likely just personal preference. Overall, a lovely meal with thoughtful flavours.

From the design to the branding to the quality of food, Babeuf is a treasure. Walking into the space feels like stepping back into the 1960s-70s (retro for some; familiar for others; nostalgic for all). My partner and I were visiting Cagliari from the US, and Babeuf came highly recommended. I’m so glad we had a chance to visit, because it will go down as one of my favorite dining experiences abroad. We shared the bread and butter (definitely a house-made or at least slow-made loaf with a generous serving of caramely butter), the charred romaine (a lovely balance of acidity, creaminess, char, and crunch), roasted tomatoes with lightly fried zucchini flower (tart, sweet, rich, and snappy), chickpea hummus (smooth, nutty, luxurious), and our main dishes were the roasted tomato fusili (sprinkled with smoky, citrusy sumac) and octopus bucsanini (I beliebe it was bucatini, but may have been another shape… a balance if fresh oceanic flavor and comforting sauciness). Our server also made helpful recommendations on wine pairings, and she gave us our space to enjoy the meal while still checking in and offering guidance. Please do yourself a favor and visit this special place. For what it’s worth, we visited in late May, and we made a reservation just to be safe, but we were easily able to get a table. It may be a bit more difficult to get a walk-in table in the summer.

En begränsad meny men med ett härligt urval som vad vi förstår uppdateras frekvent.
Startar med tre franska ostar och en tartar. Ostarna ska ätas i en viss ordning för maximal effekt. Och ja de smakar underbart ihop med marmelad eller utan. Tartar perfekt, bra smak och bara smälter i munnen.
Till maten ett lokalt rött vin. Underbart!
Huvudrätt en pasta med bläckfisk, små bitar och inte så som den brukar serveras. Den andra huvudrätten hästtungan med potatis och sotad purjolök helt underbart.
En efterrätt med vispad äggvita och bär samt lite krunsh
