We had a super delicious Chianina. The matching wine was truly perfect: it tasted perfect. The restaurant is small, a bit cramped inside, but we sat on the terrace in the beautiful evening weather. Highly recommended!

If heaven is a place in Tuscany, this might be it. First of all the food is delicious, the tartare is fantastic but the seasonal pizza’s are something else, like an angel just entered your mouth. And then the staff, we were with 3 kids - who were tired and did not behave as they should have - but the staff still made us feel at home and were were friendly. We did not reserve but I would highly recommend to do so. This gem was and will be very busy.

A very warm welcome from the friendly staff and the warm-hearted owner. The lasagna from 'la mama' was without a doubt the best I've ever eaten. The Chianina steak tartare, which you mix yourself, was also original and exceptionally flavorful. The wine list includes some excellent discoveries, and the wine pairing with the meal was perfectly chosen. The only minor drawback: the background music could have been a bit more vibrant. In short: highly recommended for those who appreciate authentic cuisine and a friendly atmosphere!

Very friendly and kind staff who also speak good English. The pizza was one of the best I've ever had – definitely the best in Monte San Savino! The atmosphere was great too, with calm, quiet music creating a relaxed vibe. Prices are very affordable, with most pizzas costing under €10. Highly recommended!

Avrei voluto fare una foto...ma l'acquolina ha prevalso, mi dispiaceva farla freddare!....l'aspetto della pizza era ben curato (come anche il locale, ristrutturato di recente). Non avevo mai preso una pizza con il polpo quindi m' incuriosiva!..La base croccantissima era molto appetitosa e l'abbinamento degli ingredienti era ben bilanciato...mi è piaciuta! Tornero' sicuramente ad assaggiare altre varianti!

Vinimos en uno el primer día de su ambiente refrescado y era para morirse. Comida increíble y todo el equipo fue tan increíblemente amable con nuestra familia. Incluso le dieron a nuestras niñas un regalo maravilloso para ir a casa. Todo el ambiente es perfecto y a un paseo muy corto de los mejores sitios del Monte San Savino. ¡Debo intentarlo!

26/07/2025: A truly spectacular dinner! Every dish was meticulously crafted, a journey of the senses from sight to taste. Unusual and sublime flavors. Excellent location and super attentive staff.
15/07/2025: You can't just happen upon Mater Restaurant; you have to want to. It's a journey through nature with a breathtaking view of the Poppi plain, which also heralds a journey into the flavors of the local countryside. A very well-maintained restaurant with an open kitchen, where you can watch a group of artists perform. Each dish is a work of art, both visual and olfactory. We've occasionally tried the tasting menu (useful the first few times to get to know the offerings), but lately we've chosen the à la carte menu, which allows us to focus on a few new dishes. Which ones can I describe? All very sublime, but I must mention one pleasant surprise that truly blew me away: homemade tagliolini with two textures of apricot. I couldn't have imagined such a dish possible, a delight. Excellent and impeccable service.

Osteria Il Bibbio

13/07/2025: Wow, what a great find! We stumbled upon this restaurant because it was very close to the agriturismo where we were staying. I found the phone # here and was able to make a resy via WhatsApp (the night before we had been turned away as they were totally full). We ordered the pesto pasta, the lemon chicken, and a side of green beans and shared. Simply delicious! Something told us we should splurge and have the homemade Tiramisu. Our instincts were spot on! It was the best Tiramisu we have ever had! We enjoyed the meal so much we can back the next day for lunch! This time I had the pici with pork ragu and my wife had the lasagna. Each was fantastic! And of course we had to have the Tiramisu (again). Did I mention how gracious the owner is? Five stars all around. The little town of Bibbiano is very lucky to have this restaurant. Reservations recommended.
11/07/2025: We went to dinner last night with a friend from Siena. We were so pleased, everything tasted great, the desserts were delicious, like the rabbit, the pici cacio e pepe (a type of pasta made with cheese and pepper, which not everyone knows how to make), and everything else. The owners are wonderful, friendly, and helpful. If you go eat at Bibbio, you won't regret it. See you next year!!!!!!
